18 Dining with WMF Adaption of range 2016 DINING - Cutlery From 1st February 2016, all 68-piece cutlery sets will be officially changed to 66-piece sets. This means that from this point onwards there will only be limited stocks of the 68-piece sets or these sets will no longer be available. In future, WMF will focus more consistently upon the needs of the end consumer and offering the customer added value. The 68-piece set will be replaced by the 66-piece set, as this is a contemporary and attractive set combination. Today's end consumers no longer tend to use a sugar spoon, sauce ladle, soup/cream spoon and medium-sized salad servers, so these items do not offer any added value. Instead, table spoons (a replacement for soup/cream spoons), table forks (table forks and spoons double up as salad servers) and teaspoons (a replacement for sugar spoons) are used. Therefore in future, WMF will offer the end consumer a set of large salad servers and a large dose ladle. The following items from the 68-piece cutlery set are being discontinued: Sugar spoon Soup/cream spoon The following items will be replaced by more commonly used items: The dose ladle replaces the sauce ladle Large salad servers (approx. 25 cm) replace the medium salad servers (approx. 18 cm) Advantages: The dose ladle can be used as both a sauce and soup ladle, therefore it meets both needs As a multifunctional ladle, it can be stored in the drawer to save space and means that you don't need additional utensils The set of large salad servers is more practical to use with large salad bowls, and means that larger portions can be served more conveniently The matching spoon in the salad server set can also be used as an additional serving spoon Page 18
