Designed with coordination and composition in mind, SITTNING is ready to help you create a sociable and complete table setting, perfect for a spontaneous get together after work that draws laughter and heated discussions, a late night supper that sparks romance, or a Sunday dinner that gathers in-laws, step-parents and cousins. Because with the SITTNING collection, we want to celebrate the joys of sharing a meal with those you love. It s about setting the table on what seems to be an ordinary Tuesday, and being reminded again and again that it s within the ordinary that much of the extraordinary happens.

Or a mix of materials, shapes, heights and colours placed next to each other. All the pieces in SITTNING work very well together, no matter how you combine them. We wanted to create a collection that was beautifully coordinated in dinnerware, serving ware, glass ware, table cloths all the way to candleholders and vases. And the quality of life that a long, pleasant meal together with friends and family gives us. The generous use of natural materials contribute to a welcoming atmosphere where everyone can feel fabulous and just relax. To make the table more eye-catching, SITTNING is also a mix of contrasts and textures. Combine warm acacia wood and cold metal, delicate hand-blown glass and marble, some very tall candle holders and some very short ones. All spread out on a table cloth of calming cotton with different patterns and shades weaved into it. Even the take out pizza would look spectacular!

That s what the textile designer Maria Vinka and the product developer team thought of when designing the SITTNING place mat. After all, the idea with the collection is a celebration of being together. To share something more than just a meal.
