4 Meet Our Teachers Tyler McMillan Tyler holds a Bachelor of Music Education from University of Massachusetts Lowell. He studied with many great instructors, and he owes a special thank you to Jon Wheatley, a professor at both Berklee College of Music and Umass Lowell. Tyler has been a guitarist for twelve years and a musician his entire life. He teaches Guitar, Bass, Voice, Ukulele and Piano. His primary focus in college was jazz guitar and composition and also arranged many popular songs for collegiate-level music ensembles. Some artists Tyler brought to the stage includes The Weekend, Ariana Grande, Outkast, Bon : Iver, and John Mayer. He also writes original compositions for his band, and they perform regularly in the Dorchester and Lowell music scene. When Tyler is not playing or teaching guitar,he is likely playing with his beloved dogs (labradoodle sisters), Daisy and Lily. He is also a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu purple belt, a hockey player, a part time volunteer barista, and a graduate student studying public administration. His favorite styles of music to play in are Neo Soul and R&B. Tyler teaches bass guitar, voice, ukulele, Little Elements and all styles and up to intermediate piano. 4

5 Flynn One of Cayla s vocal students Amelia C comes from a very musical background! Her father Flynn is also a musician and he is playing at the Chelmsford Center for the Arts on March 2 nd at 8:00pm. Tickets are $15. Flynn is an amazingly talented and passionate Boston-based musician originally hailing from Greystones, County Wicklow, Ireland. With his guitar in one hand and suitcase in the other, Flynn set off to America to pursue his musical dreams in the fertile Boston music scene. Flynn quickly set out to making his dreams a reality when he co-founded the band Cliffs of Dooneen. The band rapidly gained notoriety amongst thousands of Boston bands garnering several high profile Boston Music Awards including Best Rock Band and Best Album while selling out every venue in town. A major label record deal soon followed with a smash debut album, The Dog went East and God Went West (BMG/Critique). The first single, Through an Open Window became an immediate radio hit landing in the Top 10 of Billboard s Modern Rock charts. The band s exciting ride included constant MTV exposure, floods of national press, and cross-country tours playing all the famous rock stages across the country including sharing the stage with the likes of Nirvana and Smashing Pumpkins. 5

Date: March 15, 2019 Location: Playoffs Bar and Grill 512 Middlesex Turnpike Billerica, MA Time: 8:00pm-10:00pm $10 event Start off your St. Patrick's Day weekend right with a spectacular night of comedy! This comedy show is the first of many at Playoff's in Billerica, MA, hosted by Emily Mame Ford. We're so excited to announce we have Tricia Auld headlining! Tricia is a local Boston comic that appears all over Boston at prestigious comedy clubs like Giggles and Laugh Boston. 6

A night of comedy, music, poetry and performance art. Come and try out some new material, fine tune your older work or support and enjoy local artists. The event will be filmed and performances will be available via YouTube for participating artists. 8

9 Music Elements Teachers Public Performances Dylan released his own CD. It is all original music written by Dylan and he is real excited to share it with everyone. You can listen to one of the tracks, Geometry, here: Students and parents who are interested in seeing Dylan Jack perform can visit Laura has released a new single. It s called No Good Please give a listen to her and feel free to share! Students and parents who are interested in seeing Mike Loce perform can view upcoming events at: Dan Webster, our piano instructor, performs with Mike Payette at the 110 Grille every third Thursday of the month. 9
