2 ABOUT FESTIVAL EuroStrings - European Guitar Festival Collaborative is a first European platform gathering 14 classical guitar festivals with international reputation and professional structure that enables education and promotion of emerging guitar players. The objectives of EuroStrings are: - Promoting emerging guitar players to a broad range of audiences across Europe and worldwide. - Fostering the development and recognition of emerging artists by supporting their mobility and the circulation of their work, providing them with international opportunities for education and career - Supporting careers of talented young guitar players from lower social income/status - Developing a label awarding and recognizing emerging guitar players - Developing new and innovative audience-development techniques particularly targeting young audi ences - Addressing the challenges and barriers posed by digital changes in communication and percep tion of art in the field of classical music nowadays - Developing new business models for Festivals in the field of classical music EuroStrings contributes to the development of a vibrant and diverse European classical guitar scene which reflects shared values, preoccupations and challenges of the 21 st century experienced by every classical guitarist, especially a young emerging professional. Some of his recent achievements include the first prizes of international competitions in Budapest, Szeged, Belgrade, and a third prize and public prize in Gorizia. He graduated at the Universityof Szeged in 2017, with professors Dávid Pavlovits and András Csáki. Links was born in, in He started playing the guitar at age 8. 9 ABOUT NEWS MEMBERS YOUNG STARS SCHOLARSHIPS ECGF AUDIENCE LAB SPONSORSHIPS EUROSTRINGS SCHOLARSHIPS EuroStrings has developed an annual scholarship programme for students from lower income backgrounds to enable them participation at international guitar competitions and masterclasses that mostly require a payment fee. EuroStrings is acknowledging financial situation of many young guitar players and with this programme supporting them in their further international education. Who can apply? Young guitarists, aged between 18 and 25, with lower financial capability. They need to be a student at music school and have to undergone professional education for at least 2 years. How to apply? In the beginning of every year, EuroStrings will publish an open call for applying to EuroStrings Scholarship. The applicants will be asked to submit their contact details, achievements and experiences from previous years, video in which they will perform song of their choice and a statement of their financial capability.
