1 #1 Bookmark Design a bookmark for the book. On your bookmark, you should include a scene from a chapter, or important clues or symbols in the book. You may also include text or vocabulary. #4 Letter to a Character Write a letter to a character. Talk about how you feel towards them, what questions you have for them, and advice you would give. ¾ page, single-spaced

3 #3 Partner Discussion (do this after reading Chapter 13) Find a group of 2-3 to discuss who you think the murderer is. 6 #7 Prediction Chart Create this chart and write five predictions. Check back after reading a few more chapters to see if your predictions were right. If they were, put a checkmark. Prediction Correct?

7 #8 WORDLE An example of a wordle Type in a list of vocabulary words about the novel into the box and separate each word with a comma. You should have a minimum of 15 vocabulary words. SPELLCHECK your words before you press go! Print your wordle.

8 #9 Facebook (do after reading Chapter 15) Follow the template we used in class before. You may create your own sections! #10 Comic Strip You may use these as templates to create your own comic strip. Remember to include dialogue that happened in the novel! Please do not make comics from the templates. Use the templates to draw your own comic page! Return all templates when you are done :)

9 #11 You & In paragraph format, write five similarities and five differences you share with a character of your choice. Write 2 paragraphs: the first one can talk about what is different between you two, and the second one can talk about what is similar. Example: Turtle Wexler and I share many similarities. 11 #15 Diary Entry You must enter the mind of one of the characters from The Westing Game. Write a diary exploring the secret thoughts, feelings, and motivations of one of the heirs. 12 #17 Create an Ad Pretend your school or class is conducting a book sale. Design a poster that you think will encourage customers to buy The Westing Game. Use blank paper. Things to include: summary of the book pictures and words to convince someone to buy your book! title of the book, author a picture of the novel (you can create your own book cover )

13 #19 Secret Dialogue Choose a scene in a chapter and write what happens after. You will create a conversation between 2 characters. Some things they could talk about are: who they suspect, interrogating each other, or predicting what will happen next. 14 #22 Character Web (do after finishing the novel) Draw lines between them showing their connections to each other. Connections include: if they are related, how they feel towards each other, important plot points, etc Your web should be done on blank paper, fine-lined, and may use colour to show the different connections.

15 #25 Word Wall Art Choose a word from the novel (no repeats, check sign up) and write it in large block letters on the cardstock. Write the definition underneath using a sharpie so it s nice and obvious. Decorate the word art with colours and related pictures. *Sign up with your name and which word you have chosen Name Word
