Some late news I just learned from an old friend of IPGS, Charles Gist, formerly of Auburndale, Florida and currently of Yell County, AR. Charles was one of our early members in establishing IPGS. He was the person who did original design of our banner. I got word that he is having some serious health issues and will be undergoing surgery. I am hoping the members are looking forward to our pending meeting and the grand programs planned for education. We have invited Donna Moughty to give us a real good education about Online Sources for Italian Research. This will be for the month of July. Advising anyone who wants to learn a lot about coping with online research you need to tune into Genealogy Gems and learn from Lisa Louise Cooke, now a resident of Texas. Her program is free if you want to live with online advertising. Lisa just returned from a great genealogy conference in Australia where her sessions were a total sellout. Word from David Rencher of Utah is that the digitizing of the records in Granite Mountain is going very well and we can keep moving on to learn about how to access: Looking forward to our next program in April about exploits of the Orphan Train.
