1 The Belts Tool How to be a Belt / Dan Farmer 12/30/13 Belts and/or Dans = Bonus' What is a Belt? A Farm Town Belt is a way of getting bonus products. The belts have different colors for each RANK. A new Belt for a product can be achieved by harvesting and producing that product a number of times. Every time you or an employee harvest on your farm, the counter for the harvested product is incremented by 1. Each time you reach a new Belt, you will have more chances to receive an extra product. After you reach level 100 you can obtain different degrees of Black Belts...called Dans (Ranks). ***The employee counters are not incremented*** What is a Dan? Dans gives the users of higher levels a bigger challenge because it is harder to get Dans than Belts. For levels less than 200, you can get 1-6 Dans. At level 200 and higher, you can get the 7th Dan if it is available. What is a Bonus? Bonus' are what you receive because of the Belts or Dans you have earned.

2 To see what you have earned and what you need for the next rank, click on the Belts icon in your extended tool box. Once the Belt tool has opened up you will have several options to help you decide what you need to do to reach the next Belt or Dan. There are buttons at the top of this tool that allows you to see where you are in each category: Seeds, Trees, Flowers, Fish and Products. There are 7 available Ranks for Seeds, in this example, all of the seeds have reached the 7 th Rank, however if there were and produce that had fewer than 7, then I could use this to help me decide which product I needed to plant to receive a bonus.

3 As of this date, the seeds allow for 7 Dans, and the Trees, Flowers, Fish and Products allow for 6. There are two filters that come with this tool. The first is the list filter which allows you to select how the prouducts will be listed. You can choose either by the Belt or Dan Degree or by the product name (Alpha).

4 The second filter allows you too chose by Belts or Dan Degrees.

5 If you hold your mouse over a product without clicking it will tell you if you have more Belts or Dans available and how many of the product you have stored. In this case I have reached the highest Dan available and I have Acorn Squash in my storage.

6 If you have more available Belts or Dans, you will see a tool tip that will tell you how many more you need to reach the next Belt or Dan what % of a chance you have to get bonus with the next Belt or Dan and how many of the product you have in storage.

7 Also, if you go to the store and hold your mouse over an item, you will see a tooltip pop up that will give you the same information. Bonus for each belt are as follows: White Belt - No extra harvest/batch Yellow Belt - 5% chances for an extra harvest / 2% chance for an extra batch in facilities Orange Belt - 10% chances for an extra harvest / 4% chance for an extra batch in facilities Green Belt - 16% chances for an extra harvest / 7% chance for an extra batch in facilities Blue Belt - 22% chances for an extra harvest / 10% chance for an extra batch in facilities Brown Belt - 29% chances for an extra harvest / 14% chance for an extra batch in facilities

8 Black Belt - 36% chances for an extra harvest / 18% chance for an extra batch in facilities Here are the benefits when reaching each Dan degree: 1st Dan Degree - 41% chances for an extra harvest / 21% chance for an extra batch in facilities 2nd Dan Degree - 46% chances for an extra harvest / 24% chance for an extra batch in facilities 3rd Dan Degree - 52% chances for an extra harvest / 28% chance for an extra batch in facilities 4th Dan Degree - 58% chances for an extra harvest / 32% chance for an extra batch in facilities 5th Dan Degree - 65% chances for an extra harvest / 37% chance for an extra batch in facilities 6th Dan Degree - 72% chances for an extra harvest / 42% chance for an extra batch in facilities 7th Dan Degree - 78% chances for an extra harvest What Counts? Currently you can earn up to 1,000,000 coins every 12 hour from Ingredient Posts and another 1,000,000 coins every 12 hour from Bonus Posts. You can post 5 bonus belts in 12 hours. Really, the numbers look good but it doesn't take long to rack up the amounts. Be very selective when you post or answer your neighbors requests. For users in higher levels instead of 1,000,000 this limit will be increased as follows: Levels ,000,000 coins Levels ,000,000 coins Levels ,000,000 coins Things to think about: Every time you post for bonus ingredients and then your neighbors and friends give you the bonus, this counts towards your total limit amount. Every time you click on your friends and neighbors bonus items, this counts towards your total limit amount. There is currently no tool that tells you how close you are to your limits...everything just stops for no apparent reason. You may get a message saying that you have reached your limits or you may not.

9 Troubleshooting: If you are full screen when you are posting bonus', reduce to regular screen. If you are receiving a message that you have reached your limit and you know you have not, trying clearing the memcached by following this link. Nothing will happen except a page of words about unsetting this and that will come up, close it out when finished, refresh your browser or better yet, close your browser completely and open it again. You will know when your friends have reached their limits when collecting bonus because you will get a screen that says the mayor sent you XXX amount of items, but it will say nothing about your friends receiving them. If you are not collecting bonus and are not sure why, ask a friend to try to answer one of your bonus calls to check the message.
