You or your partner has to be able to bring in a 3D version of that object that can stay in the art room for a month. Top 2 ideas: 2. Using algebra, write an equation using the largest measurement and X where X represents how many TIMES bigger you are going to build your sculpture, and also remembering your MAX size limit. Issues do not distract from the overall sculpture. Project has mistakes which are easily identifiable and distract from the sculpture. Project is hard to identify. Sculpture is not identifiable as a monumental sculpture. Although complete, it does not meet the standard. The project is not complete. Students must see teacher to create credit recovery plan and parents are contacted. Students must finish sculpture by the last class day to pass 8 th grade art. 9 A reflection report is a response paper. It is a paper that looks back on, or reflects on, the assignment that was just completed. The paper should be one page in length and should be thoughtfully written. The paper should be written in paragraph form with a Thesis Statement (a sentence at the end of the introduction paragraph that states what the paper is going to be about). The reflection report will be scored on a combination of spelling, grammar, length, format and thoughtfulness. Your name and block should be at the top of the paper. It does not have to be typed, but if it is- it should be 12 pt. font with a total of 25 lines of writing (all heading information adds to line count). If it is handwritten it should be 30 lines. The reflection report should answer 3 of the following questions. " What did you learn during this project? " What did you enjoy about this project? " What did you not like about this project? " What would you do differently if you could do this assignment over again? " Do you suggest this project be used next year or are there any changes that should be made? 11 DRAWING 14: SCALE OF SCULPTURE- Apply learned knowledge: Algebra. 1. Make sure you have a picture of your maquette. 2. Take apart your maquette. 3. Tape to this page and back of your packet. 4. Write down the measurements these pieces will need to be for your sculpture (ie: length, width, diameter, circumference, etc.) 5. Confirm answers with partners. See teacher to get checked off. 11
