Proteco Lacquer ensures that your floor will be great-looking for years. It is double hardened and one of the strongest lacquers on the market. Proteco Natura has all the great qualities of Proteco Lacquer. The difference is that with Proteco Natura you get the same soft and natural look as that of an oiled floor. Tarkett frequently carry out the Taber test on both Proteco lacquers and the results show again and again that they are amongst the strongest and most wear-proof lacquers on the market. It takes a sand-surfaced plate around 7,000 rotations to wear through a Proteco lacquer! Imagine how many times you can step on your Tarkett wooden floor without damaging it. The Taber test has since the 1930s been used as the means for measuring the wear resistance of various surface finishes. The test is made by fixing a piece of a lacquer-treated floor to a rotating metal plate. The lacquer is then exposed to a continuous wear from sand grains. The number of rotations it then takes the sandy surface to wear through the lacquer is the indicator for the strength of the lacquer.
