News to Share... Time flies when you're having fun! It's hard to believe that 45 years have passed since my parents started Deneen Pottery.

What an amazing year it's been! Eloise has started Kindergarten and absolutely adores her teacher and classmates. She also LOVES riding the bus and proudly announces any "homework" she might have.

Designed exclusively by Peter Deneen and named after his Wisconsin pottery studio, Pepin Farm. The Pepin mug style is sleek, unique, and sure to make a statement. Check it out on page 7!

They were living in a duplex on East River Terrace in St. Paul, one block from the mighty Mississippi.

While my mom worked as a secretary in downtown Minneapolis, my dad spent his days making pots.

Although I'm not 45 yet, I have thoroughly enjoyed growing up along with the company and feel privileged to have welcomed so many customers and staff members to our Deneen "family" along the way. What an amazing year it's been! Eloise has started Kindergarten and absolutely adores her teacher and classmates. She also LOVES riding the bus and proudly announces any "homework" she might have. Theo is already four years old and is as rambunctious as ever. And who can forget Olive our #1 shop dog and Instagram starlet. We have a new mug style! Drum roll please, for the Pepin! Other fun new items this year include the Double Shot, French Latte, and Shave Mug. Our Story The year was 1972 and my parents, Mary and Peter Deneen, had been married for two years. They were living in a duplex on East River Terrace in St. Paul, one block from the mighty Mississippi. In a garage behind that house is where they started making functional and decorative pieces of hand-thrown stoneware. While my mom worked as a secretary in downtown Minneapolis, my dad spent his days making pots. That spring and summer they would find themselves in the cozy backyard, spending the evenings talking about their fledgling company as they decorated Dad's pots to be sold at craft shows throughout the upper Midwest. Their first big order came from J. R. Watkins in the form of spice jars. When the orders went from the tens to the thousands, my dad knew that he needed help. This marked the birth of our production pottery company growing from that tiny garage to our current commercial footprint, spanning over 20,000 square feet. Their collaborative creativity and love of family are still the driving force behind our goal to produce superior quality, hand-thrown stoneware for our clients. Most importantly, thank you! It is because of you, our wonderful customers, that our family business continues to grow! We are blessed by every order you place with us. Supply us with a high resolution image (at least 300 dots-per-inch and 4 wide) and our art department will do the rest! We make sure that the emblem we create for you is exactly as you have imagined. 14 Terms Since all of our pottery is made by hand, at times there will be slight differences in size, color, and glaze consistency. From the throwing rings on the inside to the marbling on the outside, these beauty marks are a true testament to the art of handmade stoneware. New Orders: To be added to our Art Wait List, all new orders require a first-time setup fee: $150 for a vector file submission $200 for a non-vector file submission Included in your setup fee: Creation of your custom medallion One art proof plus one revision Note: additional design time will be billed at $60/hour. One-Time Orders: All one-time orders for special occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries, and family reunions require a $ setup fee since these items are not likely to be reordered in the future. Artwork Changes: A charge of $50.00 will be assessed for any changes to your original approved design such as adding an anniversary banner, established dates, or a location. Retired Artwork: Molds will be retired if no orders are placed after three years. A $50 fee will be assessed per medallion to bring back any retired artwork. Prices: Current prices are shown on the enclosed price list. All prices are subject to change without notice. Shipping: All orders will be shipped FOB shipping point St. Paul, MN Shipping charges will be billed on your invoice once your order has shipped. USPS/UPS or FedEx Collect: additional fee of $8.00/box. Underrun: Due to the nature of the firing process, all orders may come with a 10% underrun, which will not be remade except by your request.
