As you are enjoying summer vacation remember to READ, WRITE, practice your MATH FACTS and fill in your Reading Calendar to get credit for your minutes. Below is a list of supplies you need for 4 th Grade. We hope you find many at the Back to School sales. 6 Dear 5 th Grade Students and Families, We hope you are all enjoying your summer vacation! Before you know it, you will be returning to school as a 5 th Grader! To assist you in being prepared for your first day of school, we have compiled a list of supplies that you will need for 5 th grade. We hope that you will find that many of these supplies are available for very reasonable prices at Back to School shopping sales. Please bring ALL of your supplies on the first day of school. If you are unable to find some of these items, we will have extra in our classroom. Please note that there is a personal supplies category, and a shared supplies supply category. Personal supplies indicates items that will be for your child s personal use during the school year. Shared supplies are materials that will be for whole class use. Personal Supplies: Shared Supplies: 5 pocket folders (colors: purple, blue, green, red and any other color for homework folder) 4 marbled composition books (1 math, 1 social studies/science, 1 ELA, 1 Reading journal) 1 glue stick 3 boxes of #2 pencils (approximately 50 pencils) 10 pack of markers/colored pencils 2 packs post-it notes 1 pencil bag/box 2 packages of cap erasers Dry erase markers NOTE: Please do not send large Trapper Keepers or binders because they will not fit in desks or lockers. You may wish to also buy items to decorate your locker. This is entirely optional and all items must be removable. Each student will receive a combination of his/her locker in September.
