CRAYONS: 1 box LARGE 8 basic colors (NOT JUMBO) 1 box of 24 REGULAR 4 HIGHLIGHTERS 4 Black EXPO brand Markers/ 4 Black EXPO brand fine tip markers CLASSIC WASHABLE MARKERS WATER COLOR PAINT SET (8 COLORS) 1 BOX OF COLORED PENCILS 10 GLUE STICKS (.21 or.26 oz size) TWO 4 OZ. BOTTLE OF WHITE LIQUID GLUE (no gel glue) ONE VINYL 2-POCKET FOLDER name on front, bottom pockets only (no side pockets) 1 HARD COVERED BINDER 3 RING (with name on it) BACKPACK (with your child s name on it ) QUIET TIME MATS (red and blue mats) with child s name written on it, KinderMats size 1 x 19 x 45 LYSOL DISINFECTING WIPES (last name begins with A-N) 1 BOX OF SANDWICH SIZE ZIPLOC BAGS & 1 BOX OF GALLON SIZE ZIPLOC BAGS (last name begins with O-Z ) 1 SET HEADPHONES (NO ear buds please) in plastic bag with child s name labeled on it 1 BOX OF KLEENEX 1 BOX CRACKERS or CEREAL FOR SNACK Extra clothes-one complete set of labeled clothes in a plastic bag-old play clothes work well The children will not need a school box as the supplies will be combined into larger storage boxes. 2 ROOSEVELT GRADE 1 Please DO NOT label any of these supplies o 4 paper pocket folders (1 red, 1 yellow, 1 green, 1 blue) o 12 sharpened yellow pencils-dixon Ticonderoga is preferred. Please no other fancy pencils. o 2 boxes of Crayola crayons o 2 boxes of Crayola wide classic color markers o 2 boxes of Crayola colored pencils o 1 pair of scissors children s pointed Fiskars o 12 Elmer s glue sticks o 1 boxes of Kleenex o 1 SMALL (5 x8 ) plastic school supply box o 1 nylon pencil pouch o 1 wide lined notebook o 1 personal pair of headphones or earbuds o Boys: hand sanitizer o Girls: disinfecting wipes (please avoid dual action wipes as they remove the finish off of the desk) o 1 box of nutritious snack to share with the class (some ideas include goldfish, graham crackers, pretzels, or cereal. Please avoid snacks with nuts). Please bring these supplies items to Back to School Night. We would love your help removing these items from their packaging and sorting them in the classroom. You will see that some items are brand-specific, because certain brands are of better quality and last longer. Please label the starred supplies with your child s name. 6 Roosevelt Elementary Fifth-Grade Supply List PACKS of #2 PENCILS Plain yellow pencils made from real wood are best. 1 package of cap erasers **A personal hand-held pencil sharpener would be beneficial but not expected.** 6 COLORED FOLDERS (No designer folders please) We will be color-coding all subjects. If you have difficulty finding colors we can apply colored strips to any folder at school. Do NOT feel like you have to search all over town! 1 package of wide lined loose leaf paper 7 SPIRAL NOTEBOOKs 1 SCISSORS (Reuse last year s) 1 METRIC/ STANDARD RULER 2 BOXes OF COLORED PENCILS 1 BOX OF MARKERS (Washable kind) 1 BOTTLE OF GLUE AND 2 GLUE STICKS 1 or 2 LARGE BOXES OF KLEENEX (We go through a lot.) 2 HIGHLIGHTERS 1 CLOTH TOOL BAG (Ideally, no plastic tool boxes due to desk size consideration) ***** The students do change for gym class this year.
