1 Dear Parents and Guardians, Purchasing school supplies for the very first time is so exciting for our Kindergartners. We have put together a general list of supplies that will be needed in September. This will give you an opportunity to take advantage of summer sales and avoid the last minute rush. Please keep in mind that individual Kindergarten teachers will be requesting additional supplies. Various supplies will also need to be restocked throughout the year. Sincerely, The Woodhull Kindergarten Teachers General Supplies 2 marble notebooks (labeled with your child s name) 2 folders with bottom pockets (labeled with your child s name) book bag (labeled with your child s name) Please no book bags with wheels. small adult t-shirt for art (labeled with your child s name) change of clothes clearly labeled in a plastic bag The following are community supplies and not to be labeled: 1 Fiskar scissors, sharp tip 12 large glue sticks, brand names work best 3-24 ct. box crayons, regular size no chunky 24- #2 pencils regular size (pre-sharpened if possible) *Additional supplies may be requested by individual teachers throughout the school year.

5 Back to School Information This is a list of supplies your student will need for the year. It is okay if you don t have time to get everything before the first day, just please send supplies in as you get them. If you have any trouble obtaining the supplies please let me know. Along with the supplies, please include a short letter telling me about your child. Incorporate any important information you think I should know, along with some interesting details that will help me to get to know your student better. I like to create a comfortable learning environment by making each child feel special and important. The more I know about them, the easier it is for me to do that.
