2 MISSION The International Club Lange Wapper is an initiatitve of a unique group of business friends in the old heart of Antwerp. The objective of the initiative is to create a meeting place for their members and their guests, while building genuine relationships is central. Club Lange Wapper wish therefore to bridge the gap between friends, business partners and representatives from industry, with emphasis on mutual respect and loyalty to other members. The many initiatives the Club Lange Wapper takes, should contribute to strengthening the relationships, which is always their main objective. Club Lange Wapper is housed in the historic Hansa House, an exceptional location on the Schelde, on the corner of the Suikerrui and Ernest Van Dijckkaai near the City Hall. Here is that members and their guests meet each other in a strictly private environment. HOW TO BECOME MEMBER OF THE CLUB LANGE WAPPER? Member candidates are invited to apply for membership by filling in a membership request document together with a passport photograph and to send it to Club Lange Wapper, Hansahuis, Suikerrui 5, 2000 Antwerp for further acceptance by the excutive board. Accepted member candidates receive as soon as possible the houserules of the Club Lange Wapper with the request to pay the membership fee. It was built in Neo-Baroque style by architect Jos Duke commissioned by the German merchant and banker Malinckrodt. Hansa was originally synonymous with guild merchant.
