1 AHPS Auction Number 156 This is my first AHPS Auction since 1982 and I am excited to be back. Below you will find high quality material in very fine condition. I have filtered out all of the heavy hinged stamps and shoddy covers and tried to select the best of the best. Everyone! Remember to bid early, high and often and have fun! The first catalog number in the description is generally Zumstein, followed by Scott (S ) as appropriate. Values are from the 2003 Zumstein and I will use this until I get a more up to date catalog. Airmail covers are listed and valued per the 2000 Schweizerisches Luftpost-Handbuch where appropriate. Catalog values are converted to dollars at the rate CHF 1 = US$ Although the Swiss Franc is a little higher than the U.S. Dollar it makes pricing a lot easier. On Saturday July 27th, 2013, three New York area AHPS members hosted a club table at the "Swiss Village" area of the Swiss National Day festivities Fig. 1. Vintage Swiss Benevolent Society New York label probably organized by the dates from the 1950s or so. Swiss Benevolent Society of New York. The AHPS was among a dozen Swiss-focused organizations in the Village distributing literature (Swiss Stamps - Something for Everyone) and information about their activities. AHPS members provided thousands of Swiss stamps that were made available freely to children and youth attending the festivities. A new AHPS table banner was inaugurated at the event and is available for other AHPS members to use at similar community events. Of course, we anticipate it will be a feature at our AHPS table at our next annual convention at INDYPEX, September 26-28, We hope to see you there! Fig. 2.
