8 FUN-raising Alert ~ Season full of fun AND support Relay For Life! A Carousel for Missoula is joining the Walmart 2147 Relay For Life team to support two great causes and to provide two season passes to one lucky winner. For just $2, you can enter a drawing to win two Carousel season passes, each good for a full year of rides for one rider; or increase your odds by purchasing three tickets for $5. Proceeds will be split between the American Cancer Society and A Carousel for Missoula. The winner will be chosen at the end of the 2013 Relay For Life on June 22nd. You do not need to be present to win. Tickets are available at the Carousel through 7pm on Tuesday June 18th and at the Relay For Life event as well as at Team Rallies. 10 One of the easy ways to fundraise is to share the opportunity with others to Dedicate A Luminaria In honor or in memory of someone who has battled cancer One of the most memorable moments of each Relay is walking the track that is lined with honor, love and memories. We should all set a goal to give everyone an opportunity to dedicate a Luminaria to be placed on the track for that special time. Let s make sure the track is lined with Honor, love and memories Things to consider: Many people are unaware what a Luminaria is. Having a decorated bag available will help when explaining the dedication is in honor OR in memory Have your team decorate a few bags ahead of time Keep pre-decorated bags on hand for those who would like to choose a decorated Luminaria Have a Luminaria table at your fundraising events. Have stickers, markers, sharpies, etc on hand for,decorating Send out s! Luminaria can also be dedicated through your online fundraising site as well. Need Luminaria bags/slips? 12 Rules Missoula County Relay For Life NO DOGS (OR OTHER PETS) NO MOTORIZED VEHICLES NO SKATEBOARDS NO BICYCLES NO SHOES WITH WHEELS NO PARKING IN DRIVEWAYS (OR THE NEIGHBORHOOD SURROUNDING THE TRACK) NO ALCOHOL NO SMOKING OR CHEWING NO SPITTING NO FOUL LANGUAGE NO STAKING OF TENTS (We suggest bringing water jugs to use as there is a limited supply of cinder blocks available.) NO BBQ GRILLS OR FIRE PITS NO GENERATORS SHOW COURTESY ALWAYS TO YOUR TENT NEIGHBORS AND FELLOW RELAY PARTICIPANTS PLEASE KEEP YOUR TENT SITE TIDY; GARBAGE CANS AND RECYCLE BINS ARE PROVIDED ALL ALONG THE TRACK PEPSI PROVIDES FREE PEPSI PRODUCTS THROUGHOUT THE EVENT LIGHTHOUSE COFFEE WILL PROVIDE FREE BREWED COFFEE TO ALL PARTICIPANTS, AND WILL HAVE ALL OTHER SPECIALTY COFFEE PRODUCTS FOR SALE FOOD VENDORS WILL BE SELLING THEIR PRODUCTS AT THE SOUTH END OF THE TRACK UNDER THE SCORE BOARD ALL PARTICIPANTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO STAY THROUGH THE CLOSING CEREMONY ON SATURDAY MORNING.

Our way in honoring the American Cancer Society is shown in our 2013 Relay For Life Goals Team Goal 100 Teams In celebration of their progress in the last 100 years Luminaria Goal 1985 lining the track In honor of the year the Relay For Life was born Survivor/Caregiver Goal 350 In honor of the progress the American Cancer Society is making against cancer in saving 350 lives every day. Event Fundraising Goal -- $250,000 In celebration, we would like to become a MEGA EVENT!! When we celebrated Relay For Life s 25 th Birthday, we met and exceeded all of our goals and made Pacesetter Status with your help! Let s celebrate the American Cancer Society s 100th Birthday in RELAY style by becoming a Pacesetter AND Mega Event. Come on Missoula County, we CAN do this!!! Dream Big... HOpe Big...
