Our antique quilt collections for 2017 are full of unique variations of similar patterns. The pattern may be the same but the fabric choices, piecing methods and overall designs are reflective of the resources that were available to each maker in her time. Mary Kerr is proud to share this Variations exhibit in conjunction with The Rotary Club Paducah. Mary is an AQS Certified Appraiser, author, instructor, historian, and curator of all things fun and quilty from Woodbridge, Virginia. The Show also offers a merchant mall with 13 vendors. For up-to-date exhibit information, visit About the Rotary Antique Quilt Show At the request of Paducah's AQS Quilt Show founders Bill and Meredith Shroeder, the Rotary Club of Paducah embarked on the first Antique Quilt Show and Sale in April The annual show is now an official sanctioned event of the American Quilters Society. The Paducah Rotary Antique Quilt Show

2 offers some of the world's most beautiful quilts, with each year featuring various "themed" quilts. In addition, the show offers a merchant mall with 13 vendors. Proceeds = Scholarships Proceeds from this show provide college scholarships annually for local students through the Rotary Education Assistance Program (REAP). In 2010, the Rotary Club of Paducah initiated the idea of the Community Scholarship Program as a public-private partnership with strong participation from Rotary, the City of Paducah, McCracken Fiscal Court, WKCTC, and a number of local businesses along with Paducah Junior College Inc and partnering high schools. The intent of this scholarship is to provide gap funding to assist students in attaining a two-year degree or industry certification at West Kentucky Community and Technical College. A Walk in the Woods: Quilts by Pat Durbin. Growing Power: Quilts by Jane Sassaman. The National Quilt Museum Collection: View a selection of quilts from the Museum s Collection, including the Oh Wow! Miniature Collection. BIG NEWS: 24-HOUR MUSEUM! The Museum is staying open ALL NIGHT on Wednesday April 26. Technically, the Museum will be open from 8:00 a.m. Wednesday through Thursday at 6:00 p.m. NQM will provide a van going back and forth from the AQS Shuttle Stop at the Convention Center to the Museum during show hours. Ordering in advance will give us a count on the number of meals to prepare, or you can purchase food on site at the event. Purple Toad Winery will provide a sample of wine with each meal. Meet the Artist and Book Signing Event Friday, 10:00 a.m. 12:00 p.m. The National Quilt Museum The highly respected writer Ann Hazelwood will hold a book signing on Friday. Ann Hazelwood is the author of the AQS fiction book series The Basement Quilt, The Potting Shed Quilt, The Funeral Parlor Quilt, and the Jane Austen Quilt Club. FREE New Quilts from an Old Favorite & Antique Flying Geese Friday, 10:00 a.m. 12:00 p.m. The National Quilt Museum Gallery The finalists of New Quilts from an Old Favorite 2016: New Quilts from an Old Favorite & Antique Flying Geese will be signing the contest and exhibit book in the Museum s gallery. New Quilts from an Old Favorite is the museum s annual international contest challenging quilters to put a new spin on a traditional block. FREE with admission to the National Quilt Museum Gallery. Silent Auction Wednesday, 10:00 a.m. 4:30 p.m. Friday, 10:00 a.m. 4:30 p.m. 1st Floor Convention Center Hallway The National Quilt Museum Silent Quilt Auction will be held on Wednesday and Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., in the 1st Floor Convention Center Hallway. 6 Merryman House PaDucky Derby Saturday, April 29, 3:00 p.m. Information Age Park 2000 McCracken Blvd. Paducah, KY The 3 rd annual PaDucky Derby will feature 10,000 rubber ducks racing in support of the Merryman House Domestic Crisis Center and its mission to Saving, Building and Changing the lives of domestic violence victims. The PaDucky Derby is a great way for people of all ages and areas to get involved in a worthy cause! Ducks are adopted by donors from all over the globe for a chance to win one of three cash prizes! Adopt one duck for $5.00, or adopt a quack-pack of 6 ducks for $ Business sponsorships are also available at various levels and provide businesses an opportunity to be official race-day sponsors! The PaDucky Derby will welcome the 10,000 ducks to the Purchase Area of Western KY in late April of The Paducky Derby is the signature fundraising event for the Merryman House Domestic Crisis Center a 501c3 non-profit organization committed to saving, building, and changing the lives of domestic violence victims. The organization relies on federal, state, and local grants as well as individual donors and private foundations. The Merryman House operates a 24-hour, 24-bed emergency shelter for men, women, and children, as well as four outreach offices that support victims of domestic violence on their road to recovery. The organization provides a 24-hour crisis line, on-going case management, economic empowerment and housing stabilization services to more than 750 clients per year. Funds raised from the PaDucky Derby support these services and the annual operations of the organization as a whole.
