Patio over Enclosures have been evaluated for use as non-habitable structures associated with one- and twofamily dwellings in accordance with Appendix I of the International uilding ode and Appendix H of the International Residential ode. The structural properties of the Patio over Enclosures were evaluated for compliance with the following codes: 2018, 2015, 2012, and 2009 International uilding ode (I) 2018, 2015, 2012, and 2009 International Residential ode (IR) 2.0 LIMITATIONS The Temo, Inc. Patio over Enclosures described in this report comply with the codes listed in Section 1.0 of this report, and are subject to the following conditions: 2.1 Temo, Inc. Patio over Enclosures shall be limited to non-habitable space associated with one- and two-family dwellings in accordance with I Appendix I and IR Appendix H. 2.2 onstruction shall comply with this evaluation report, the manufacturer s instructions and the attached plans and specifications, dated March 2008, revised January Where conflicts occur, the more restrictive shall govern. 2.3 Approved sealants or caulking are required at any penetrations made in the weather resistant exterior wall envelope as required by I Section (2018 I Section ). Proprietary exterior finishes shall have weatherproofing details submitted to the building official. 2.4 The attached plans and specifications, dated March 2008, revised January 2019, are for use with patio cover enclosures installed on residential structures having mean roof heights not exceeding 30 feet (9.1 m). 2.5 Exterior openings required for light and ventilation of the dwelling unit shall be permitted to open into a patio structure. However, the patio structure shall be unenclosed if such openings are serving as emergency egress or rescue openings from sleeping rooms. Where such exterior openings serve as an exit from the dwelling unit, the patio Structure, unless unenclosed, shall be provided with exits conforming to the provisions of I hapter 10 or IR Section R Enclosure walls shall comply with the configurations permitted in I Section I103.1 or IR Section AH Existing structures to which the patio cover enclosures are attached shall have adequate strength to withstand the additional loads imposed by these enclosures. Where required by the building official, calculations justifying the additional loading shall be submitted to the building official for approval. Figure 1 of this report and Page S-3 of the attached plans explain the additional loading expected to be imposed by the enclosures. The calculations shall be prepared by a registered design professional when required by the statutes of the authority having jurisdiction and shall be subject to the approval by the building official. 2.8 Wind loads shall be adjusted to account for the additional wind effects due to escarpments, if any, in accordance with ASE Snow loads shall be adjusted to account for the additional loading from drifting and sliding snow, if any, in accordance with ASE 7. alculations demonstrating that the design snow loads do not exceed the allowable roof snow loads specified on the plans shall be prepared by a registered design professional and submitted to the building official. The calculations shall address the snow load provisions of I Section 1608, including, but not limited to, rain-on-snow surcharge load, unbalanced snow load and snow drift TEMO Inc. Patio over Enclosures are produced in linton Township, Michigan. 3.0 PRODUT USE 3.1 Design: The design criteria (live load, wind conditions, seismic parameters, snow load, etc.) shall be determined and confirmed with the building official. These design criteria shall be used with the attached tables and the drawings, dated March 2008, revised January 2019, to select the required building details, such as height, span and the roof panel thickness corresponding to the loading conditions at the building location. Tables 1 to 4 of this report are based on ASE 7-05 wind loads and provide ASD loadings imposed on the existing structure as a result of live, snow, wind, and seismic sources. See the attached tables and drawings for conversions. 2 corresponding code, and applicable design criteria, including risk category, wind speed, wind exposure category, roof live load, ground snow load, seismic design category, and frost line depth shall be noted on or attached to the plans accompanying this report and shall be observed in the selection of the components. 3.2 Installation: The design criteria determined in Section 3.1 of this report shall be used to assemble the patio cover enclosures in accordance with the attached drawings, sheets S-1 through S-4, along with the sections, details, and associated notes and instructions. 4.0 PRODUT DESRIPTION The combination of the aluminum wall framing, and the roof panel system forms a patio enclosure. 4.1 Aluminum: The aluminum wall framing specifications of the enclosure are defined in the attached drawings. The aluminum is alloy and temper 6063-T Roof Panel Panel ore: The core of the panels consists of foam plastic insulation boards supplied by manufacturers identified in the Temo, Inc., quality control documentation. The foam plastic boards have a nominal density of 2.0 pcf (32.0 kg/m 3 ) and are Type IX expanded polystyrene (EPS) complying with ASTM 578. The foam plastic boards have a flame spread index of 25 or less and a maximum smokedeveloped index of 450 or less when tested in accordance with ASTM E Panel Facings: The panel facing material complies with ASTM 209 and is either 3105-H254 aluminum having a nominal base-metal thickness of inch (0.48 mm), or 3105-H14 aluminum having a nominal base-metal thickness of inch (0.81 mm). The facing materials have minimum yield and tensile strengths of 22.5 ksi (155 MPa) and 25.5 ksi (176 MPa), respectively Panel Adhesive: The facings are factory-laminated to the panel core with adhesives described in the approved Temo, Inc., quality control documentation, that are Type II, lass 2, adhesives complying with the I-ES Acceptance riteria for Sandwich Panel Adhesives (A05) and are recognized in a current evaluation report. The letters (A) and (M) in the panel identification numbers in Table 1 of this report are codes for the adhesive used to laminate the panels. 5.0 IDENTIFIATION 5.1 Enclosures covered by this report shall be identified by a permanent decal or identifying tag that states the name and address of the manufacturer (Temo, Inc.). 5.2 Each installation shall bear an original identifying decal or tag bearing the IAPMO UES Mark of onformity and the Evaluation Report Number (ER-118). Patio over Enclosures to assess conformance to the codes listed in Section 1.0 of this report and serves as documentation of product certification.
