This pamphlet contains all that you will need to know to take part in the event. In case of this we will post a notification on and on Facebook (please like and follow Fantasia Umeå). Note: that after the 23rd of September we will not do any changes that would effect gameplay. We always strive to avoid any late changes, but to make sure that you have the latest version of this pamphlet make sure to visit during the final two weeks leading up to the start of the event. Registration Fantasia Fanatic takes place during the weekend of 6th - 7th of October. To register: First: choose one of the following packages: 1: Fanatic Weekend Pass Base - 300:- (includes entry fee for all tournaments played during the event) 2: Fanatic Weekend Pass Premium - 500:- (includes Base Pass plus unique mug with free refill of coffee/saft, there are four different designs, one for each game and a small notebook) Second: Register your player profile at fantasiafanatic@gmail.com. For your player registration to be completed some additional information is required by the organizers to make your gaming experience as comfortable and interesting as possible. In your Player Profile include the name of the participant and which tournament(s) you are planning to attend. Note that this means that you can play different tournaments during the weekend. 3 The following events will be played at the Fantasia Fanatic. Main Events. These events will start on Saturday and carry on through the weekend. During the awards cermony the winners will be announced and praised. Warmachine/Hordes. 75 points steamroller. Warhammer Age of Sigmar points.* Warhammer points.* Malifaux. 50 Soulstones. Gaining Grounds Events *Note that you are allowed to play only Saturday on any of these events though you are required to mention this in the Player Profile. Any games not played in the specific tournament will award you 0TP. SIDE EVENTS. These events all take place on Sunday (except Shadespire). These will be smaller in size and will be following a tighter schedule. See the SIDE EVENTS folder for further information. Warmachine/Hordes. 75p Hardcore. Saturday Night Shopping at Fantasia The Fantasia Store will keep open between 19:30 and 21:00 during the Saturday evening. We can guarantee it will be worth loading up your credit card and pay us a visit! 3

4 Best in Show If you want to be eligible to be chosen to compete for the Best in Show award you must be set up your entire army for display after Match 1 is complete, on the table you played on and with your nametag. We will then in turn select eight out of all the displayed armies. The chosen armies will be put on display again after match 4 for public voting. To be chosen for the best in show award you have to have painted your entire army by yourself. Lunch & Kiosk During the entire event there will be an open kiosk in the gaming hall. It will be stocked with simpler food as well as drinks, coffee, fruits and candy. The kiosk accepts both cash and Swish payments. During the lunches both Saturday and Sunday there will be a lunch trailer available outside the event locale. The Venue Fantasia Fanatic takes place in Dragonskolan s Gymnasium (Swedish: Dragonskolans Gymnastiksal) in Umeå, Sweden. The address is Signalvägen 3. If you want to use GPS, search for Dragonens idrottscentrum and it should guide you correctly. Sleeping quarters If you don t want to sleep in a hotel or hostel, you can rent a space in a class room set aside for overnighting participants. The cost is only 50,00 SEK for the entire weekend and payment is done in the same manner as the registration for the event (see above). All current source material published by Games Workshop is allowed as long as it is published prior to september 23rd, That includes the BIG FAQ with Beta Rules published April 16th on Warhammer Community 5. Forge World rules are not allowed but you may use FW models for counts as models. 6. The army list must be sent in to fanaticlistor@gmail.com before 23.59, Sep. 23rd. To avoid confusion type your Player Profile name, game system and army in the topic column. The army list must be written by following the instructions found on the last page of the pamphlet. Terrain Fair Play We will be handing out a Fair Play Award to the most appreciated player during the Fantasia Fanatic event, this winner (in each game system) will be one voted so by you; the participants. After each match, during the registration of the match results you will also be rewarding your opponent Fair Play Points. The participants that accumulate the most Fair Play Points in each game system will win the events Fair Play Award, the events most coveted prize! (In the situation of a tie, the participant with the lowest game score will be the recipient). Terrain: Terrain should be defined between players and adjusted before the game begins. There should be a roughly symmetrical distribution of terrain on the table, with 2 line of sight blocking terrain pieces outside of either deployment zone, offset from the center of the table. If your unsatisfied about the placing of the terrain on your game table, please contact the tournament organizers. 6 Scenarios Start of battle 1. Discuss terrain. 2. Roll off, the winner starts placing Eternal War Objectives (the winner place objective nr 1, 3 and 5, in any order). All objectives must be place more than 12 from other objectives and 6 from all board edges. There should always be 6 objectives. 3. Roll off, the winner chooses deployment zone. 4. Choose or roll for warlord trait 5. Choose or roll all psychic powers and abilities/gifts that should be done before the battle, starting with the player that chose deployment zone. 6. Roll off, the winner can choose to deploy first or second. 7. Alternate deploying your units. 8. Roll off to see who gets the first turn. The player who finished setting up their army first gets +1 on the roll. 9. The second player may try to steal the initiative. Missions *If your opponent has no models left on the table, the game doesn t end, continue playing and try to collect VPs as normal. *If you would get D3 VP from a tactical objective, you always get 2 VP. In all missions, there are a number of victory point (VP) both players should try to score. These are later converted to battle points (BP). Calculate the difference between the player with the most VPs and the one with the least VP and consult the table below. The higher BP value is awarded to the player with the most VP. VP diff: BP: Tactical objectives: All armies must use the tactical objectives from the codex their warlord comes from if that codex has its own tactical objectives. If not, use the standard tactical objectives from the rule book. See Maelstrom of War in the big Warhammer 40K rulebook (p ) for information about how many Tactical Objectives that are used in each scenario and how they are used. You may use the New Orders Stratagem (p226). When generating a T.O a player is allowed to immediately discard a tactical objective which is impossible to achieve during the game, and then generate a new one. Eternal War Objectives: Rewards points if you are claiming them at the end of the match. See Eternal War in the big Warhammer 40K rulebook (p ) for more information about claiming objectives and how many points you get. Killpoints: Each enemy unit that has been completely destroyed at the end of the game is worth one VP. 6

7 Mission 1 Deployment: Dawn of War Mission main objective: At the end of the battle the player controlling any of the objective markers numbered 1 or 4 scores 2VP each. In addition, the player controlling any of the objective markers numbered 5 or 6 scores 4VP each. Tactical Objectives: See Cleanse and Capture (p. 230). Calculate the difference between the player with the most VPs and the one with the least VP, 7VP in max difference. Killpoints: Calculate the difference between the player with the most VPs and the one with the least VP, 3VP in max difference. Secondary objectives: Line Breaker (1VP), First Blood (1VP) and Slay the Warlord (1VP) Mission 2 Deployment: Vanguard Strike Mission main objectives: At the end of the battle the player controlling any of the objective markers numbered 1, 2, 5 or 6 scores 1VP each. In addition, the player controlling any of the objective markers numbered 3 or 4 scores 4VP each. Tactical Objectives: The Spoils of War (p.233) we use the Precious Cargo rule. Calculate the difference between the player with the most VPs and the one with the least VP, 4VP in max difference. Killpoints: Calculate the difference between the player with the most VPs and the one with the least VP, 3 VP in max difference. Secondary objectives: Steal the Loot p233 (1VP), Line Breaker(1 VP), First Blood(1 VP)and Slay the Warlord(1 VP) Mission note: This mission uses the rules for Battle zone: Night Fight (p. 252) except for mysterious objectives and Fog of War Mission 3 Deployment: Search and Destroy Mission main objective: At the end of each Battle round, the player controlling a table quarter is rewarded 1VP for each table quarter he or she controls. To control a table quarter a player needs to have more models within the table quarter than his or her opponent. A model can only be counted towards this objective if its unit is entirely within the same table quarter. Note that the table quarters are the same that is in the deployment zone meaning that the area within 9 inches of the table center does not count as part of the table quarters. At the end of the game, the player with the most VP from this objective is awarded victory points equal to the difference between theirs and their opponents VP, though, no more than 7VP are able to be awarded in this way. Tactical Objectives: Deadlock (p.235). Calculate the difference between the player with the most VPs and the one with the least VP, 7VP in max difference. The scenario uses the Strategic Deadlock rule (p.235) Killpoints: Calculate the difference between the player with the most VPs and the one with the least VP, 3 VP in max difference. Secondary objectives: Line Breaker(3VP), First Blood(2VP)and Slay the Warlord(1 VP) Mission 4 Deployment: Dawn of War Mission main objective: The player controlling any objective marker at the end of the battle is rewarded 1VP for each objective marker he or she controls. Tactical Objectives: Tactical Escalation (p.232), we don t use the Tactical Priority rule Calculate the difference between the player with the most VPs and the one with the least VP, 12VP in max difference. Secondary objectives: LineBreaker(1 VP), First Blood(1 VP)and Slay the Warlord(1 VP) 7

Calculate the difference between the player with the most VPs and the one with the least VP, 6VP in max difference. Killpoints: Calculate the difference between the player with the most VPs and the one with the least VP, 7VP in max difference. Secondary objectives: Line Breaker (1VP), First Blood (1VP) and Slay the Warlord (1VP) 8

A player may also be penalized for other different smaller errors during the tournament and the penalty will be decided by the organizers given the circumstances. A decision made by the organizers is final, and can not be reversed by talking to the other organizers. The punishments maybe as small as a reduction of tournament points and might be as serious as disqualification, but of course this is nothing we hope to be required to follow up on. Note that faulty or late lists will also result in penalties. On Slow-play: If you feel like your opponent is a notoriously slow player and it has negative impact on your gaming experience you may give him a warning. To do this, just talk to the tournament organizers after the game and they will give you further instructions. Late Arrival: If you turn up late for a match the following will happen: 1-20 Min. 10 Some basic instructions for your army list: Use a separate table for each of your detachments. Armylists Instructions If you are uncertain about how to add a unit to your list, remember that the most important thing is that it is easy to read. Only enter non-standardized equipment under the upgrades section. We all know Space Marines carry bolt guns unless stated otherwise. When determining Army Faction and Detatchment Faction, only count the Faction Keyword that most suits the detatchment/army and is common for all units in the army or detatchment. Please order units in a detatchment as in the different indexes and codices. As follows: HQ, Troops, Elites, Fast Attack, Heavy Support. It s ok to use Battle Scribe for Army Lists GENERAL EXAMPLE: If you want your armylist printed and added to the player folder, use this template.
