Standard Set-up 1. Players role off, winner can choose to be either player 1 or player 2. See the missions for how this effects each game. 2. The rules for Matched play are in effect. 3. 2 Painting Competition There will be a competition. The subject will be Army Colors. We are looking for units that shows off the pride of what Regiment / Chapter / Craftworld / Hive Fleet / Coven / Kabal / Sept, etc. For example, your entry could the Space Marine Command squad with its back banners and ornate shoulder pads, or an Imperial Knight decked out in it house insignia, or an Archon adorned with the skulls and skins of its slain foes, or a Chaos Sorcerer showing off the highest level of corruption his god can bless him with, or a Black Templar champion in full colors, or an Eldar Autarch with his craftworld and warhost flags, a platoon command squad, etc. The range of models is intentionally left wide open to allow for creative entries. The contest will be judged not only on the painting and modeling, but how well it fits the theme. The entry fee for each entry in the painting competition is $3.00. Anyone can enter if the miniature is present for judging and the painter is present at the awards ceremony. One free entry into the competition is included as part of the registration fee for the tournament. It is non-transferrable and it must be a unit played in the tournament. The prize for winning the competition is equivalent of 25% of the tournament fees collected plus any of the painting competition entry fees. 3 The 1776 Event Round 1 Table Deployment: Dawn of War Mission: Scouring Place Objectives: 6 Objectives (preferable numbered 1-6), placed by players alternating placing them on the board, starting with Player 1. Objectives must be a minimum of 6 from the table edge and minimum of 12 from each other. Choose Table Sides: Player 2 chooses which side is his deployment zone. Assign Point Values: Player 1 roles a dice to randomly select the Superior Objective. Player 2 roles a dice to select the inferior objective.
