3 8 50 Faith Mercer I have developed a unique technique of Pate De Verre. Every piece I make will be exclusive with no two petri dishes the same. Pate de Verre and glass petri dishes Not for Sale Jochen Holz 9 30 Andreya Bennett The proposed tumblers are made in a unique and innovative way. The purpose of drinking vessels is of course to socialise/communicate over a drink... Word game coasters encourage guests to communicate and innovate though play. Guests create new sentences both humorous and helpful, encouraging interaction/ communication though sharing words. In this project I am using lampworking to blow clear borosilicate tumblers. Every piece is made individually and formed by a variety of tools to produce unique shapes and textures. I am using files, cheese graters or found pieces of metal to press into the hot glass, imprinting the texture of the tools and to form/deform the glass bubble into the final shape. Bullseye glass and ceramic decals with mixed media (PAIR) Page 3
4 10 20 Andreya Bennett Sarah Brown My character coasters encourage guests to innovate and create new people/creatures. This is an iconic structure of innovation in a number of materials not just glass. Stencilling techniques and digital transfers Page 4

The second piece makes a matching pair, the words Innovate and Communicate inscribed within each creating optical curiosities to ponder upon when at a desk. The idea simply describes the ebb and flow of communication, whilst innovation is reflected in the changing nature of the dichroic glass. A continuous trail wraps around the friendship ball symbolising communication, the essence of being. Designed as a response to recent flooding in Somerset.
