1 Management Message We welcome to our April 2017 edition, in this edition we have covered highlights of some of the events organized by Dubai Maritime City Management like the introduction of quarterly Maerifa Event and Free Health Check-up Awareness Campaign. DMC Management would like to thank every one of you for attending Maerifa event and participating in the awareness campaign. We hope you found the updates shared by the DMC Management team. discussion on the developments of the city in terms of new services, process and infra- structure very useful. 2 28 March 2017 Dubai Maritime City conducted its 1 quarterly Maerifa Event on 28th March Maerifa is a medium/platform for DMC business partners for networking opportunities, promote their company (products & services) highlight their areas of expertise, knowledge share, tackling common challenges as well as work as a community that is interdependent. st The main objectives were to: Encourage the business partners to interact in order to develop business relationships Knowledge share (best industry practices) Share success stories Raise concerns/challenges that affect their daily operation Share suggestions that would improve the business transaction in DMC

3 The event was attended by 70 plus senior executive experts in the diverse sectors of the marine industry. The event was inaugurated with the welcome speech by DMC General Manager Mr. Ali Al Suwaidi. Addressing the audience, he explained the meaning of Maerifa and its purpose followed by the networking lunch. The event resumed at 2:30 pm with update from the DMC management team on the infrastructure developments and enhancement in DMC Property Management services presented Mr. Adil Abdalla, Head of Project Development and Mr. Muhammad Ibrahim, Director of Property Management respectively. The event was enlighten with a wonderful speech of Mr. Ved Chhabra, Chairman and Managing Director, Inter Ocean Ship Repairs LLC, a wellknown personality in the Maritime Industry. Mr. Chhabra expressed his special thanks to Mr. Ali Al Suwaidi, DMC General Manager for honoring him for this veneration. Mr. Chhabra spoke about his career in the maritime industry and the various situations he experienced. He pointed the developments that happened in the maritime industry over the past 3 decades and especially in Dubai. He gave the example of Al-Jaddaf in its initial days and international standards work environment that Dubai Maritime City offers today. He expressed his gratitude to the Rulers and Government of Dubai, his family, team members, Jaddaf, DMC Management and his business partners who supported in the growth of his business.

Subsequent to his inspiring speech, Mr. Ali al Suwaidi presented him with the award for this contribution to this event and Maritime Industry. The final segment of the event was open Q & A session. The engagement of our business partners was positive and the dedicated questions asked were answered by Mr. Ali Al Suwaidi, GM of Dubai Maritime City. Finally DMC General Manager conveyed an open invitation to all our business partners to join Dubai Maritime City in the coming events and to visit his office for any assistance required from DMC.

5 Dubai Maritime City in cooperation with UniCare Medical Center had organized a medical camp on 25th of April 2017 and conduction free health check-ups of DMC business partner s employees. UniCare physicians provided consultation & medical analysis of blood pressure and sugar, height, weight, body mass index. The campaign was successfully more than 150 employees availed from this service. In addition to this they gave away free cholesterol & Psychiatry consultation vouchers to the employees who could not be accommodation due to time constrains. Mr Ali Al Suwaidi, General Manager of Dubai Maritime City, Mr Muhammad Ibrahim and Mr. Sultan Buamim from DMC Management team were present at the event to oversee the smooth functioning of the campaign. 7 Workshops DMC workshops offer frontage parking with an open space for loading and/or unloading and an easy accessibility of vessels. The space facilitates the manufacture, fix, repair, construction of marine vessels along with the provision of installing machinery. Workshops of two sizes are available within DMC: A. Small workshops of size 260 sq.m / 2800 sq.ft B. Large workshops of size 884 sq.m / 9515 sq.ft Showrooms DMC showrooms are unique in the area since it is the only space used to display wide range of products, goods and merchandise related solely to marine industry. What is more they are easily accessible within the entire area. DMC offers showrooms of 84 sq.m area with a dedicated parking area for clients. Warehouses Warehouses of 510 sq.m / 5490 sq.ft are available to store spare parts and materials used for marine related business activities. Shops Small retail spaces of sizes 64 sq.m / 694 sq.ft are available at a very attractive rates to offer a specified line of goods and services needed by the community.
