2 Electrical Department SR ACTIVITY INFORMATION NO. 1 Activity : One Day Workshop on PLC and SCADA Type : Workshop Date: 12nd July 2017 Venue: Om Engneering College, Junagadh Industrial Automation and Controls has always been a hotbed of new products improved sensors, amplifiers, displays, recorders, control elements, valves, actuators and other widgets and gizmos. But the markets are relatively small, specialized and fragmented, and it's rare that any significant volume results directly from individual products. Since automation is such a fragmented business, all of the larger (multibillion-dollar) companies are mostly a conglomeration of products and services; each product segment generates a relatively small volume, but lumped together they form sizeable businesses. This workshop conducted by Mr. Nirav M. Madhvani, Managing Director of Possible Automation & Control Systems, Rajkot for conducting workshop, and Asst. Prof. K. G. Raythaththa, Asst. Prof. D. K. Thesiya, Asst. Prof. B. G. Radadiya provide great support for coordinatind student of 3rd and 5th semester of Degree/Diploma student Today's factories and process plants are still a mess of conventional wiring, and it's an easy extrapolation to forecast the continued growth of industrial wireless. The inflection point will arrive when one of the automation majors recognizes that the high gross margins of conventional product pricing are producing only incremental revenues and profit growth. The companies that can yield low-cost industrial wireless will be rewarded with significant growth surges. Purpose of Workshop : Main purpose for this workshop is to aware students with current scenario of automation in industries. Also, they become familiar with industrial environment and to get practical knowledge and learn where & how we apply our theoretical knowledge in real application. 2 Gujarat Technological University (

CONCLUSION: he workshop has been provided excellent opportunities for all whoever is ready for fundamental work and hands on experience on PLC, SCADA, Stepper motor, Servo Motor and different starters i.e. DOL and Star-delta Starters. Also from this workshop, students get the theory as well as practical knowledge about the automation system and its tools. Students also did hands on practical work on different tools.
