3 STRENGTH COMMITMENT TRUST The late nineteenth century found Francisco Díaz Fernández already building small boats for inshore fishing. Then he moved on towards bigger vessels. For four generations, the family of the current president, Álvaro Platero Díaz, has dedicated themselves to shipbuilding. Over its more than 90 years in business, GONDAN has built about 300 vessels.

INTEGRATION OF TECHNOLOGIES GONDAN is noted for its skill in integrating technologies to achieve effective, practical results. Combining resources and technological components with a variety of characteristics from different origins is a complex task requiring in-depth analysis and the ability to adapt and coordinate, something we specialize in.

8 DESIGN AND PRODUCTION Projects culminate in real vessels through custom designing, integrating technology and employing smart methods of production to optimize production capacity. Spatial distribution, the incorporation of technologies, practical improvements, software, manufacturing systems all these aspects are developed and coordinated to perfection to create vessels that exceed our customers expectations. TECHNICAL OFFICE The detailed design and construction plans are drawn up by the shipyard s own technical staff using state-of-the-art software. Among other tasks, the technical department is responsible for the following: weight control during the construction period, stability calculations, launching conditions, approval of plans by the classification society and by flag authorities.

10 CUSTOM PROJECTS All orders are tailor-made, unique and personalized. The adaptation to each particular vessel s circumstances and to the technical and quality requirements requested by each client is evident in all development phases, from design to production, making each boat singularly one-of-a-kind. This customization means total flexibility in the production process; we adapt to the shipowner s requisites and promptly and skillfully adjust planning to suit the changing needs of the project. 12 DUX, PAX and AUDAX are the first dualfuel tugs built in Europe. They have been designed to grant full operational availability at temperatures of 20 degrees below zero.

13 ANY SECTOR, ANY MARKET We are specialists in building all kinds of complex vessels, no matter what their function. At GONDAN we respond to those especially demanding sectors that require technological solutions to complex problems. Edda Passat and Edda Mistral will function as mother ships for wind turbines technicians as they perform maintenance work at offshore wind farms on the North Sea. Fishing boats, offshore oil & gas vessels, offshore wind farm vessels, luxury cruise ships, patrol boats all types of vessels continually expand our catalogue. Sunderøy is a technologically advanced Freeezing stern trawler. But what is truly important is how we have made them and how we completely adapt ourselves to each order, maintaining maximum quality in whatever vessel we build. Stril Mar is equipped with FiFi II monitors installed at the stern of the vessel, allowing for safer and more efficient fire fighting operations in offshore facilities. Jasiri is a high-performance Light Corvette. Pre-outfitting of weapons was carried out as part of the project.

14 STEEL DIVISION Tough, long-lasting reliability We have been constructing steel vessels for over 50 years. Qualityand precision-built by true steel craftsmen, hulls made of this resistant material protect ships against the pounding of the sea and the passage of time. We never stop investing in our facilities, modernizing and improving them in order to continue strengthening our steel processing capacity, which today reaches 3,000 T / year. Martin Sæle is a 50-meters long wellboat designed to operate in the Shetland Islands. Due to its high degree of automation, it can be operated by only 4 people.

17 FIBERGLASS (GRP) DIVISION Light and versatile GONDAN s Fiberglass Division was created in response to our interest in expanding the number of market segments to which we offer our shipbuilding services. This system allows for tremendous versatility and offers enormous advantages with regards to production costs and efficiency. This division focuses production on building passenger vessels and workboats (patrol boats, pilot boats, port service vessels, fishing boats, etc.), made of resins and fiberglass using different composite processing methods (RTM LIGHT, Infusion, Hand Lay-up). Patrol vessels, workboats, passenger catamarans are the most requested constructions in GRP.
