3 TAPAS Objectives and Purpose Foundation for a Smart City! science and research project aimed at contributing to the implementation of Industry 4.0. Support and test new advanced technological developments and applications with a need for fast, efficient and flexible cm precision positioning, to verify the Galilleo positioning performance Censec 15. 5 TAPAS - Vision and perspective New generation network needed! Analysis from Chalmers University investigated the implications of the new GNSS constellations (Galileo and BeiDou etc.). Conclusion is that sub-cm accuracy is possible with a significantly more dense network of permanent reference stations. TAPAS is created with this in mind. TAPAS is dense - 12 reference stations max. distance 5-10 km TAPAS is a research and development platform situated in a challenging real life environment of both dense urbanization as well as coastal zones. TAPAS is designed flexible for adjustments to user needs. It can be remodeled, expanded and undergo developments in firmware and software. TAPAS is aiming for real-time positioning!! Censec 15. Maj

10 TAPAS Utilisation 1/2. Need for new generation of RTK net! TAPAS is an open research and development platform to be used by interested third parties. Data is open and freely accessible. TAPAS can act as the platform where companies test, document, scale up and export new GNSS technology products. TAPAS is delivering a real-life test environment of city (urban canyons/canopy), harbor and air. TAPAS is aiming to be the test-platform for technology of the future, such as self-steering vehicles, smart city applications and autonomous systems, who depend on constant and reliable positioning data. TAPAS aims at supporting users with future technological developments within Galileo, 5G, wifi navigation, moving reference stations etc. etc. Censec 15. Maj

11 TAPAS Utilisation 2/2. Need for new generation of RTK net! EU Horizon 2020 is stating needs for demonstrating autonomous vehicles in real life conditions. TAPAS is ideal for this kind of purpose. TAPAS can be used as a test platform for developing test of new GNSS chipsets, and applications using eg. 5g for mobile devices, It s the hope that the platform can assist in the development of future positioning technologies RTK / PPP, etc. Censec 15. 12 TAPAS: Current status 11 x Class B + 1 x Class A station s TAPAS is under establishment, undergoing tests, calibration and is ready ultimo SDFE will be covering cost for operations as well as overall non-specific developments. Ultimo 2018 it will be open for all potentially interested parties. TAPAS is used as a pilot-project in Danish E-Government strategy. User conference will be organized in Q Censec 15. Maj
