3 WELCOME! Digitalisation is the greatest transformational force of society of today. The digital revolution has radically, fundamentally and globally changed society and continues to do so. It affects how people interact and relate to each other, how we perceive things, how we take on tasks and how we find solutions. Digitalisation leads to a transformation of society s most important elements growth, innovation, welfare, sustainability, security and democracy. Opportunities and challenges The opportunities that open up are extensive; increased level of service, automation and artificial intelligence, reduced environmental impact, more efficient processes in the industrial and service sectors and simplified everyday life. At the same time, digitalisation brings many new challenges. A sustainable digitalisation requires capable handling of issues relating to privacy, security, energy consumption, as well as issues related to the transition that takes place when jobs disappear due to automation. Come together To meet the challenges and create a sustainable future we require knowledge and close collaboration between the various actors in society. Our initiative seminar Digitalisation opportunities and challenges, bring together experts from research, industry and the public sector to discuss the digitalisation progress and its potential consequences. Prominent researchers, experts and managers from industry and society will present and discuss perspectives on digitalisation, future, threats and promises for the society of today and tomorrow. A broad audience from academia, industry and the public sector are invited to the seminar. The two day seminar will be organised in four themes offering additional perspectives on digitalisation: Connected world Automated society Data-driven innovation Digital sustainability Our digital natives Our initiative seminar will also offer activities for school children. Approxiamtely 100 pupils in the ages of will visit a digital workshop in a parallell session. The initiative seminar is a non-commercial arrangements by Chalmers Area of Advance Information and Communication Technology. The seminar is free of charge for participants. 4 Exhibition area The exhibition area is located on all three levels of the conference center. The foyers are in direct connection to the lecture hall. Lunch and fika will be served in the same foyers as the exhibitions. The exhibition will have the same opening hours as the conference, ie Entrance floor

6 More information After your booking has been confirmed Send your company logo in high resolution to chalmers.se, for publishing on the conference webpage and other conference material such as the programme folder or ppt-slides. Building the stand You can start building the stand on Wednesday 15 March at and the exhibition needs to be down again at the latest on Thursday 16 March at You are responsible for tidying up the stand before you leave. Deliveries Unfortunately there are no storage rooms available at the conference center, neither before or after the exhibition. Therefore exhibition material can only be received the day before the conference begins. You are responsible for returning your goods after the conference. We cannot assist in sending goods when the conference has ended. Goods must be clearly marked with your name, company and contact person. Other It is forbidden to put nails in the walls. You may not use tape or anything that leaves marks, or do damage to floors and walls. We can assist in ordering flowers or green plants to you stand, please contact us through bokningjohanneberg@chalmerskonferens.se at least 3 weeks before. Food and drinks It is prohibited to sell or offer alcohol in the stands, according to Swedish law. It is of course allowed to offer snacks or candy in the exhibition. In the building there is a café, a pub and several lunch restaurants - please contact the reservation, ph for more questions or table reservations. Parking and communication There are only a few parking lots along Sven Hultins gata, which cost 15 SEK/hour. Only coins or petrol cards are accepted. Along Gibraltargatan there is a big parking lot, and the parking house Gröna Mossen has accessable parking lots on the top floor. You can pay with credit cards, or petrol cards. It is not allowed to park on Chalmersplatsen or along Sven Hultins gata. The trams no 6 and 8 runs from Chalmers to Korsvägen and further. Tram no 7 and 13 goes to the central station via Vasaplatsen and Avenyn. Bus no 16 runs to Brunnsparken and further on to Lindholmen. Contact Your booking needs to be confirmed by us.
