1 Introduction to: The Hux Connect Portal The Hux Connect Portal is the primary tool that users have for viewing and understanding to information that Hux gathers about a site. The portal provides a broad range of tools, visualisations, analytics and summaries to help users understand their building and management their Hux Connect deployment.

2 The Floorplan page The Floorplan page forms the main diagnostic screen for the Hux Connect Portal. It gives you a wealth of information about a building, with an intuitive interface that lets you navigate the deep data sets collected by our sensors with ease. There is a great deal of information that is available through this screen that helps users of all skill levels to understand their building. 3 The floorplan The floorplan is a key way to understand the site. From this perspective you can see how temperature and other metrics vary across the floor. This kind of spatial understanding gives terrific insight into where problem areas are and how different spaces interact together. Available metrics Hux monitors a range of indoor metrics, and allows you to easily transition between them. Hux directly measures: Temperature Lux Humidity Radiant heat Carbon dioxide levels And can provide additional analytical measures such as discomfort index and predicted mean vote. 4 Navigation To assist with moving throughout the deployment, Hux has an innovative navigation interface. Moving between floors can be done with a click, and a mini-map allows you to navigate complex floorplans with ease. Timeline display Moving beyond the spatial layout of data points, all locations can have their data mapped in time series as well. Through this dynamic graphing function, it becomes easy to understand how the conditions in locations change over time. These can also be mapped against international standards (such as ASHRAE 55) to better understand desirable performance benchmarks External conditions Understanding what is going on outside can be the key to knowing what is driving performance. In addition to key metrics such as temperature mapping onto the time series, Hux shows simple colour bars of a range of external factors, allowing for clear understanding of how they change over time All pictures and text are copyright to Hux Pty. 5 Changing timeline duration The Hux Portal can be adjusted to display over a number of time periods, giving the capacity to explore the data closely or over the full deployment duration. Hux Connect Topographies If looking to have a clearer understanding of any issues that might be occurring, the Hux Portal has topographies that can be overlaid on the floorplans. These topographies map where conditions fall outside of desirable thresholds, as determined by local or international standards, or by user created benchmarks. 6 Issue animations To better understand the factors that drive performance issues, Hux gives you the capacity to run through an animation of the issue as it occurs. This play through is a terrific tool for visualising the changing conditions, and how the spatial interaction between locations can influence each other. Animation of events can be a key piece of communication, particularly for stakeholders who are not fluent in building design and operation, and forms a core part of the Hux visual suite. 7 Electricity consumption Hux also has the capacity to integrate electricity monitoring into our portal. Electricity monitoring obviously brings a lot of advantages to understanding building performance, and Hux considers this to be a highly valuable addition. Electricity consumption, if enabled, is mapped over the other ambient data metrics, allowing for a clear understanding about how energy consumption changes as a function of other variables. Data download All metrics collected by Hux can be easily accessed through our CSV download feature. This enables users to take the data collected through the Hux system and do further analysis or investigation. 8 The Dashboard page To help understand the condition of the system, key issues in order of performance, and other factors relating the building, the dashboard page provides a simple summary. 9 Placement Hux puts a great deal of emphasis in making our system accessible and user-friendly. A key part of this is how to deploy and modify a sensor network, which is why our placement tool is world class.
