22 Multi-routing template MFS 400 / MFS 700 Product benefits at a glance Outstanding results Its versatility and setting options allow you to produce a large number of rectangles and circles. Optimised adaptation to the respective work situation is possible by means of corresponding extension profiles. The dimensions of the desired cutout are quickly set on the millimetre scale. Simple alignment of the template to the workpiece through attachable angle stops. Safety Safe guidance of the router with the tilt protection, even with large surface cuts. System benefits The application versatility of the MFS 400 and MFS 700 makes them multi-talents: by sliding the profiles in longitudinal or transverse direction, the required cutout size is set simply and quickly. The tedious production of, or searching for, suitable templates is now a thing of the past. If a large cutout is required, the extension of the basic model is childs play. A wide variety of cutout sizes and radii can be cut with extension profiles ranging from 200 mm to 2000 mm. The tried and tested Festool one-hand lever clamp or G-clamp can be used to secure the templates. They are simply inserted in the securing groove in the profile and clamped. 22

23 Handling Apart from the production of rectangular cutouts, the multi-routing template is ideal for cutting circles. The circle cutter insert is inserted in the inside grooves of the template and the profiles are pushed together to the stop. A simple hole in the centre point of the circle on the workpiece is used for inserting the centering mandrel. By sliding the circle cutter insert on the scale, the radius can be set exactly. Cutting a circle couldn t be easier. Further extension profiles allow you to cut string-boards. The tread length is indicated by the template according to the steps. Then slide the angle stops into the guide slots and align. The string-board is processed through simple parallel shifting of the template. 23

Set the multi-routing template to the desired dimension and secure to the workpiece with screw-on lever clamps. The router carriage is pushed on and secured. The router can now produce full-surface cuts quickly and accurately, eg for hollows in kitchen worktops. With the worktop routing template APS 900, corner and panel connections can be produced for worktops. The APS is designed as standard for board depths of 600 mm. By sliding the template on the profile, worktops with a depth of up to 900 mm can be cut. The APS 900 is braced with the workpiece by lever or screw clamps via the securing groove.
