2 Music Events Verticals Decibels Saarang Decibels is one of India s premier competitions for semi-professional bands. It has online registrations from which a total of around 25 bands are selected. The final bands are selected based on public voting. 1 st Prize 80,000/- 2 nd Prize 50,000/- 3 rd Prize 20,000/- Powercords Tarang Powerchord is Saarang s coveted Battle of Bands. Powerchords has been the Launchpad for the likes of Chrome.O.Soul and Two Decades and After. Powerchords is the one of the biggest inter-collegiate band hunts in the country. Tarang has evolved into one of the best events at Saarang with the best bands participating from all across the country. It is a light music band event for college student bands, language. 3 Alankar Sonata From country to beatboxing, Vox brings together diverse vocal performances, attracting a large number of music fans. Alankar, our light music solo vocals competition has featured eminent musicians like Shakthisree Gopalan, and Jayalakshmi as judges. Previous winners have gone on to make a name for themselves in the music industry, like Deepanshi Nagar of Aadya fame. Sonata is Saarang s western music solo instrumental event.
