3 WHAT TO EXPECT When you first arrive, you can meet with Amy, our new player coordinator, Amy will either help you herself, or direct you to another member who will help make your character, evaluate your weapons and armour and help you through registration. We aim to start game at 11:00pm on Friday. But log generally opens sometime after 9:30pm. Game runs from 10:30pm on Friday until Sunday at about 2:00 pm. Typically, the game slows down between 3:00 am (earlier on Saturday night) and 10:00am the following day. The kitchen is generally open for meal times from 9:00 am to 11:30 am, and from 5:30 pm to 8 pm, and periodically throughout the day, for snacks and drinks. This is subject to change based on the individuals running the kitchen. SITE AMENITIES The site has running water including flush toilets and showers. Keep in mind these amenities are camp showers, so you may want to bring flip flops or water-safe shoes. The whole site is on a septic system, so please flush human waste and toilet paper only. There is no heat in the cabins, so it can be cold at night. We recommend ensuring you have enough bedding. The game is run on a farm, so please respect the owner, and do not eat fruit from his trees, or interact with his animals without his express consent. It is a good idea, if you have allergies, to bring antihistamines or another allergy medication. FOOD & DRINK There is affordable food for sale at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Drinks are available most of the day. You can either pay as you go or buy meal cards in $10 denominations. Should you wish to prepare your own food, there is a fridge, kettle, toaster, and microwave you can use, but space is limited and shared by all, so use it with respect. The tap water is drinkable. CREATING A CHARACTER We encourage you to review the website and the rule book to get an idea on the type of character you want to play, and the skills you d like your character to have. We also encourage you to have a short overview of your character history planned out.
4 You will be allowed to rewrite your character between your first and second event should you so choose. We also ask that after your first event you submit a character history to ncplot@gmail.com so we can incorporate your character into the world. New players start at 75 build. **If you attended a new player event hosted by Nero Canada, you can start at 80 build!** EMERGENCY CONTACT If there is a need for someone to contact you on site, please provide them the following contact information: 1) Primary Contact: Quentin Salzar ) Back Up Contact: Karin Vierhuis Please let us know if you have any medical condition we should be aware of in advance. IMPORTANT NOTE Nero Canada is a family-oriented game. We ask that you keep your behavior in line with this type of environment.
