Map of the Eden Project Welcome to Dinosaur Uproar A B C D E F G H I J K L M N O P Prepare to embark on a journey of dinosaur discovery. Come face to face with these prehistoric creatures, from the mini to the mighty, the ferocious to the friendly Visit the different activities at Eden today to uncover the answers to your dinosaur questions, hone your palaeontology skills and collect stamps in your journal to become a certified Dino Expert Have you got what it takes to live with the dinosaurs? Will you thrive and survive? How to discover Next to each of the headings in your Adventure Journal you will see a grid reference. You can use this grid reference on the map opposite to locate where each dino activity is taking place Warning: Dinosaurs on the loose! Take care as you walk around Eden today, as some dinosaurs have made this habitat their home. Keep your eyes peeled at all times and approach these creatures with caution A B C D E F G H I J K L M N O P 2 1 The crosses on the map opposite show the areas where the dinosaurs have recently been spotted. Take extreme care if you find yourselves in these areas at any time. Move slowly and quietly and try not to startle our prehistoric pals.
Herbi s lunch (l5,j6,m4,m6) Many dinosaurs, such as Saurornithoides and Australovenator were carnivorous; they ate meat as their main or only food source. Other dinosaurs, such as Edmontosaurus and Dryosaurus, were herbivores and filled up on vegetation. Follow our plant trail and discover the prehistoric plants that dinos loved to dine on. Zig-zag through time along our zig-zag path and take a rubbing of the plants that you find along the way to fill Herbi s plate. Domain of the Dinosaurs (G8) Step back boldly into the Domain of the Dinosaurs. Journey through time from the Jurassic to the Cretaceous period and explore the world once inhabited by these incredible creatures. Did you know that 200 million years ago warm seas teemed with prehistoric life here on Earth? Giant marine reptiles swam with sharks, amongst beautiful coral reefs. Delve into the Jurassic sea and experience life beneath the waves. Draw your favourite coral or ammonite here: million years ago there was a great diversity of life on Earth. Amongst it the huge Tyrannosaurus rex. How well do you know T-rex? Could you outrun him? Could you hide from him? Could you live alongside him? What is the coolest T-rex fact that you have found out today?
Dino Data Code Breaker On the page opposite, you will see that there are some words missing from the sentences. Can you break the codes? Look for the Dino Data stations as you walk around Eden today, as they not only contain lots of fascinating dino facts, but also the matching codes that you will need to reveal the missing words. The Dino Data stations can be found at ; G7, F9, H13, J7, K8, & L9. Place the missing words in your journal over the codes on the Dino Data stations to reveal the hidden words. Once you have found your missing words, rearrange them into the sentence below to complete an important message. As humans, our are having a big on our. We can our planet. We are more, than we are alone. wintery ENVIRONMENT. L9: Leaellynasaura had huge eyes which helped them to see in their dark, K8: Stegosaurus had a four-spiked tail which it probably used to PROTECT itself. J7: Dryosaurus lived TOGETHER in small herds. H13: Titanosaurs walked the earth on four huge, POW RFU L legs. F9: Australovenator had big, curved teeth. His bite left a big IMPACT. G7: Icthyosaurs spent their LIVES in the sea, chasing fast-moving prey.
Palaeo Camp (G7) Welcome to Palaeo Camp. Here, you can hone your palaeontology skills in our dig pit, sharpen your dinosaur knowledge and complete your dino expert training. The Dig Pit (G7) We think we ve found a Stegosaurus buried beneath the landscape of Eden. Help us with our excavation using all of your paleontology skills. Then sift through sand and stones to uncover the secrets to another world. Design-a-saurus (f9,n6) Now that you know your dino name, why not draw a picture of your dinosaur in the box below? What characteristics would your dinosaur have? Visit our Design-a-saurus workshop tables for some ideas. Sketch your favourite dig pit find here: Dino EXPERT Training (G7) Could you live alongside the dinosaurs that have taken over Eden? Join our Dino Expert Training team to learn the skills that you will need to survive. Now that you have completed your training, visit our dino recruitment board to find out what your dino job would be. What dinosaur are you? (G7) Use our board to work out what your dino name would be.
Today s creatures from the past (g13) Visit the Tropical Islands in our Rainforest Biome to discover some ancient creatures that still inhabit our planet today. Look closely, what can you see? Dragon Tales (L9) Is it a dinosaur or is it a dragon? It is thought that many of the stories and myths about dragons came about when people from the past discovered dinosaur remains. Unable to identify what these skeletons and fossils were, they believed that they were dragon remains and made up magical stories to accompany their finds. Join us in the Mediterranean Biome to explore the mythological world of dragons. Tell your grown-ups that we d love to hear about your adventure at Eden share stories and photos online, using the hashtag #dinouproar Win an amazing ASUS convertible 2-in-1 tablet & laptop! Get your grown-ups to tweet their best photos of Eden to their followers and include the hashtag #edenphotocomp The competition is open to people aged 13 and over.
