Oysters once flourished our developing coastal estuaries with new generations growing upon the shells of their predecessors and slowly building up thick deposits of shell. This took place for over 15,000 years. As the sea level continued to rise, conditions became unfavorable causing many oyster reefs to die out. Then the reefs became covered with varying amounts of sand, burring the fossilized shell deposits. After excavation, our shells are washed, and inspected for quality. Next we add them to our paver batch to produce a paver that is as durable as it is beautiful. The final step in our manufacturing process is to polish the top of the paver revealing beauty of the shell and adding a soft smooth finish to the top of the paver.
