NATIONAL SERVICE SCHEME UNIT RESIDENTIAL CAMP REPORT 16 TH Oct TO 22 nd Oct, Camp Site: Thalyacha Pada, Bhatane, Usgaon Phata, Vrajreshwari Road, Virar (E). To get the experience of Village culture and to smell the tradition, VIVA-NSS Unit decided to conduct 7-Days Residential Camp at Village Bhatane. This is our new adopted village & therefore College management is also excited for this new experience. In our Pre Camp visit with Principal & co-ordinator Sir we had talk with Panchayat members & senior members of village. And decided work plan for activities. Also they have given assurance about safety of students. For this camp, 100 volunteers with 2Program Officer & a Leady staff member were participated. All technical support was provided by College. DAY:1. 16 th Oct, Arrival at Camp site & Establishment of Camp. We all reached at camp site by State Transport Bus at 8.30am. we took shelter in Sarpanch s Home as it is our main camp site. We had divided all volunteers into 7 Groups and cleaned the nearby area to establish camp. We also cleaned the road approaching camp site. The camp inauguration was carried out at 2pm in presence of Mrs. Sugandha Jadav, Chairperson, Gram-Panchayat, Sarpanch & senior villagers. In evening 4pm we had rally in village to develop the personal contact with village people. We found 2 schools and one Ashram School in village. We had given social topics to all groups to perform skit plays. Post Lunch Session: 9pm TO 10pm. All groups performed on their social awareness topic given to them and also given chance to perform individual regarding entertainment of villagers. As its first day and may be first chance for many, this activity help to develop fearlessness.

2 At 10pm, the session was over and Mess charge was haded over to next group for 2 nd day of camp. Breakfast and food menu were decided & all went for sleep. Day 2: 17 th Oct, Day schedule was as follows: 5.00 TO 5.30am. Wake up & get ready for Parade Yoga session TO 6.30am. Warm up Body & Drill followed by Parade on Ground That includes P.T. Deeps, Push-ups. This was instructed by Mr. Bhupendra, Mr. Ranjeet TO 7.30am. Yoga and Meditation for concentration of Mind. Instructor: Miss. Yogandhara Kajare TO 8.00am. Breakfast made by mace committee. 8.00TO 12.Noon. 12.0TO 1.opm. 01.oTO 2.0pm. 02.0TO 4.0pm. Work at Assigned site. on 2 nd day all 6 groups were working at two different site for Water Dam Construction. The villagers are all farmers thus water conservation activity is really useful to them as it maintain water source for cultivations. Bathing and Personal Hygiene. Lunch Time Guest Lecture: Mr. Anna Kadlaskar. Topic: Myths & Misbelieves of Daily Life.. This lecture was also enjoyed by villages as lecturer torch the light on misconception of our mind & science behind some natural events. 4.0 TO 4.30pm. Tea & snacks. 4.30TO 6.0pm. Village survey for children health. 6.0 TO 8.0pm Practice time for cultural events. 8.0 TO 9.0pm. Dinner made by mace committee. 9.0 TO 10.opm Cultural activity, skits, drama, comedy action on general topic. 10 pm. Day End. Discussion with all volunteers, plan for next day. Charge handed over to next mess group & Light Off. This was the general schedule for entire7 days of the camp, although there were some change may took place due to enforce error.

3 It was found that all villagers were quite enthusiastic for lecturer and marked their presence by attending lecturer. It built confidence in our volunteers and they became more involved in villagers life. They learnt the problems of village life and ready to find solution on that. Schedule of Speakers: For all the days college management and Principal took their personal interest to engage the lecturer of well known personalities so that they can put some quality values in the life of the volunteers. VIVA Management Trusty, Principal, Co-ordinaor visited our camp site to motivate volunteers and to support NSS. 4 Due to presence of all dignitaries & guest all volunteers get moral support for social duties also got knowledge from the speeches of Guests. The villagers also got chance to talk with them on their social problems.
