The StrEdge inverter senses the grid vltage, and when it is dwn it autmatically switches t Backup mde, discnnecting frm the grid and supplying pwer t the backed-up lads. This applicatin requires cnnectin t the SlarEdge Aut-transfrmer and a backed-up lads panel. This applicatin can be used in ne f tw ways: Backup-nly energy stred in the battery is discharged fr backup pwer nly, that is, when there is n pwer frm the grid Backup with Smart Energy Management use sme f the battery energy fr backup pwer, and the rest fr maximize self-cnsumptin(msc) r charge/ discharge prfile prgramming (fr time f use arbitrage) applicatins. Fr mre infrmatin, refer t the StrEdge Applicatins Cnnectin and Cnfiguratin Guide available at cnfiguratin_guide_na.pdf. The Backup applicatin can be used whether r nt PV mdules are installed at the site. The backup functin is disabled by default and can be enabled fr n- grid nly applicatin, if backup is nt needed. System Basic Cnfiguratin This sectin describes: Hw t enable the Backup Cnfiguratin functinality, s that the system can be set up t the available applicatins (Backup-nly r Backup+Smart Energy Management); If Backup Cnf is disabled, the system will use the battery energy when PV prductin is nt sufficient in MSC, r when using ne f charge/discharge prfiles that requires battery discharge.
