7 MERIS: 2 spatial resolutions Full Resolution (FR) 300 m. Acquisition and processing on request. Maximum of 20 minutes per orbit. Scene: 575 km 575 km or 296 km 296 km Reduced Resolution (RR) 1200 m. Continuous acquisition, processing systematic. Full Orbit or child (i.e, temporal extraction) 7

11 Product types Level 1B are images resampled on a path-oriented grid, with pixel values having been calibrated to match the Top Of Atmosphere (TOA) radiance. Level 2 are images deriving from the level1b products, with pixel values having been processed to get geophysical mesurements. Level 3 are synthesis of more than one MERIS products (and possibly external data) to display geophysical measurements for a time period. Level 1B Level 2 Level 3 11
