2 The [Art] of Carol Benson-Cobb I am an American artist known for my custom abstract colorization. My work reflects a feeling created within a color palette with an emphasis on the way colors touch, layer and affect one another. The vision is to create a mood within the art, adding a hint of a landscape or focal point, usually evoking a feeling of fluidity and emotion. My intentions are never to fully define a scene but to lead viewers in the use of their imagination and own life experiences to fill in the gaps... The Art Basics The 3 Price Points The Reproductions: A large selection of work is available as a reproduction on canvas, printed on acrylic or under glass. Each painting has a selection of standard sizes and orientations. We are scaled, gallery quality. Our studio team prints and assembles all orders. Most of our raw materials are sourced locally. All reproductions are unsigned. Customized versions can be orderd as signed, Mixed Media Originals. The Mixed Medias: My love for printing and painting is combined in the Mixed Media option. The process begins with a digital image of the original work which is then customized to the buyers needs. Typically I am asked to re-size the work to a specific scale, possibly add color or change the orientation. Once the image is manipulated, the art is printed on either canvas, acrylic or board. I can then add color or just enhance what is inherent to the painting. With each request, I am amazed at the amount of options I can offer. This process allows me to scale the customization of unique pieces. The price point limits the distribution of my custom work and enables buyers to have signed pieces without breaking the budget. The Original Work: Most originals are acrylics on canvas or board. I have always been project based and quote original pricing per square inch. With the increased value of specific originals, pricing may vary. Our brick and mortar gallery + studio is by appointment and located in the heart of the Dallas Design District. A current price list is available upon request. Commissioned work is always welcomed.

3 The Textiles Wallpaper Tex tile / noun Textile refers to any material made of interlacing fibres. I have always referred to the patterns created from the master paintings as Textiles. I could not think of a better word to describe not only the process in creating but also the potential usage of the imagery. Within each painting, endless designs can be captured. Until now, we have only released the Textiles as prints stretched on canvas. We have slowly tested the imagery on various fabrics as well as wallpapers. We are excited to release our first raw pre-washed linen collection. We will offer fabric digitally printed by the yard as well as pre-packaged, pre-washed raw panels in 54x108. All linen fabrics will also be available as stretched or mounted art. Printing the imagery on key substrates has becoome our focus. 4 INNUENDO is the latest painting, created in the late winter of The original painting is a large vertical acrylic on canvas. Layers of creams and hints of blue grays give a light fluid feel. This work immediately gave way to an entire collection, allowing me to tell the story of my creative process within one master painting. By manipulating sections of the digitized original artwork I develop pieces individually. As sections of interest are printed and tested new variations and size options emerge. The term Series is how I catalog the collection process, each piece is assigned it s own style number and range of sizes yet relates back to the original work in name.

7 THE STRAND is the latest painting commissioned for Neiman Marcus, The original painting is 54x54 acrylic on canvas. Similar in composition to Slated, The Strand has a calming palette with slight movement. The original paintings have the natural drips, exposing my layers and natural process.

9 DUNE TEXTILE NO. 3 Released in 2015 This version was built to an impressive 108 canvas taking sections from the master painting, Dune. It is quite similar to Dune Textile No. 1 with a slight variation in the repeat.

10 DRIVEN Is the best selling work to date. The original work is a 52x90 acrylic on canvas. Driven was released as a reproduction in 2011 and selected by Neiman Marcus for distribution. This was the first painting sold on this scale. I retired it to Mixed Media Exclusive status in Neimans continues to sell the only reproduction offered in a 52x60 canvas. There are so many variations within Driven. Sections of the piece were used to create the Driven Textile Series as well as Driven I &II. Driven Textile Series 12x96 acrylic prints

12 AFTER THE STORM was painted and released as a reproduction in The original work has sold and the giclee has now been moved into Mixed Media Exclusive status. This process protects the value for buyer of the original work, limiting the distribution of the image. My favorite variation is the 54x72 vertical shown. The light is stretched and a brightness comes out that is not found in the original format.

14 SHELTER Released in 2014 Shelter is offered as a Mixed Media Exclusive. The light layers of creams and grays are subtle yet add dimension. Each giclee is customized, stretched and signed.

19 DRIVEN TEXTILE SERIES The imagery continues to grow out of experimentation. Far Right: Driven Textile No. 10 was recently built to the size of 80x80. The first large canvas will be shown in the Dallas Gallery location. Left: Driven Textile No. 2R is a revised version of No. 2. The smaller pattern will be one of the frst textiles printed to scale on linen. It will also be available as a canvas or acrylic print. The much anticipated linen panels and fabric by the yard will be readily available by summer We are also currently running wallpaper samples and hoping to offer the first series within the same time frame.

21 SEDONA Is a textile design originating from the master painting, Balance I was recently asked to build a 24x120 acrylic print version. The acrylic prints give a totally different feel to the artwork. This piece was installed with wall cleat, no visible frames. We offer the acrylic prints with several mounting options. The suspended wall cleat is my favorite.

24 The Acrylic Box Matted Prints The Acrylic Box was designed to give buyers a way to switch out artwork without having to completely re-frame a piece. Matted replacement art is sold separately.

25 The Mounting Options Acrylic Prints Changing the printing substrate can give the art a completely different feel. The Acrylic Print gives a very different effect than the canvas. The modern appearance can be mixed with natural wood and is offered in various mount options. Most imagery available in canvas is available as an acrylic print. Each print has an embedded signature. Wall Cleat: gives a free floating effect, no visible frame. Flush Mount: The print is mounted onto our frame, giving the appearance of a box. Floated: Similar look to the canvas option, the acrylic is floated within the frame. Choose from any of the canvas float frame finishes for any option. Flush Mount on Natural Wall Cleat Flush Mount on Natural 1/4 acrylic is used on most floated or flush mount options 1/2 acrylic is used for all wall cleat mounted prints.
