I know we are all looking forward to the warmer days ahead. Many thanks to Sandy DeAngelo for teaching such a colorful floral design in February. It seemed to put a little Spring into our day. Once again our Swap Meet and covered dish, in January, was successful. The food was abundant and enjoyed by all. Thanks to everyone who shared with us. Next on our calendar is the Luncheon Favor painting and the catered lunch at the March 28 th meeting. Please bring all the usual painting supplies. I know that Janet needs many hands to complete the favors that day. Our April meeting will be a Butterfly in oils Seminar taught by Nancy Pitcher. It s nice to have this opportunity to paint in oils. Looking ahead, May 16 th and 17 th is our Chris Haughey Seminar. Be sure to sign up with Eddijo so you won t miss this event. Everyone: Let s get our ornaments painted, baskets put together and painted pieces done for the Luncheon ASAP. It s such a help to all of the chairpersons to get an early start on these projects especially the ornaments! Please remember the Food Pantry. See you all at the Meeting. The Park Building is on the left about ½ mile.

3 Sandy De Angelo s Teaching her Project at the February 28 th Meeting We are Family An enjoyable project! Some tidbits from someone.. Did you know......that if you use a large mop brush for varnishing you will basically incur no streaking or brushmarks?...that if you want to keep your patterns, copy them on Jet Ink Transparency Film?...that if you use a black eraser you will not get any black smudges? Anyone want to try any of these hints and report back?

5 LUNCHEON NEWS: Janet Kretschmer, Chair Our theme for this year s Luncheon is Victorian Era The Chair positions have all been filled! Thank you all for your involvement in helping to make our Luncheon successful. Again it will be held at Skytop on October 26, Sandy DeAngelo has let us use her studio to get started painting the centerpieces, it is so much fun to get together with wonderful painters who we can pick their brain for ideas if needed. Hope you can make it on Wednesday March 12 at 9:00AM, for a change from painting at home. Also at our next Pocono Painters meeting on March 28, 2014 we will be painting the favors and a lunch will be provided. Bring your usual painting supplies, the paint will be provided. For our centerpieces that members have been kind enough to volunteer to paint, I have brought in some patterns that I had, but I am sure we all have Books that might inspire you with patterns. And please don t forget the ornaments for the tree, it is a 6ft tree so it will need lots of ornaments to fill it.
