LOF is length of fabric, parallel to the selvage edges. 2 1/4 yards blue dinosaurs, 112-31601 2 LOF strips 4" x 74 1/2" for side borders. 2 strips 6 1/2" x remaining WOF; cut into (7) 6 1/2" squares.

LOF is length of fabric, parallel to the selvage edges. 2 1/4 yards blue dinosaurs, LOF strips 4" x 74 1/2" for side borders. 2 strips 6 1/2" x remaining WOF; cut into (7) 6 1/2" squares. 3 identical 4" x remaining WOF strips for top border. 3 identical 4" x remaining WOF strips for bottom border. 1/3 yard white dinosaurs, strip 6 1/2" x WOF; cut into (6) 6 1/2" squares. 1/2 yard packed dinosaurs, strips 6 1/2" x WOF; cut into (7) 6 1/2" squares. 1/3 yard blue words, /3 yard white spots, /3 yard navy spots, /3 yard yellow dinosaurs, strips 1 1/2" x WOF from each fabric. 1/3 yard green solid, /3 yard blue solid, /3 yard orange solid, strips 1 1/2" x WOF from each fabric. 1 1/3 yards red solid, strips 1 1/2" x WOF. 7 strips 1 1/2" x WOF for border. 8 strips 2 1/4" x WOF for binding. 2 3/8 yards white solid, strips 1 1/2" x WOF. 14 strips 2 1/2" x WOF; cut into (20) 2 1/2" x 14 1/2" strips and (20) 2 1/2" x 12 1/2" strips. 7 strips 1 1/2" x WOF for border. 5 1/4 yards backing of choice 2 pieces 89" x WOF. Batting 1 piece 75" x 89" Piecing the Blocks Use a 1/4" seam allowance for all stitching. Press all seams as directed. 1. Sew a 1 1/2" x WOF green solid strip lengthwise between a 1 1/2" x WOF yellow dinosaurs strip and a 1 1/2" x WOF white solid strip to make a strip set. Press seams toward the green strip. Repeat to make 5 strip sets. Crosscut the strip sets into (20) segments. 2. Repeat step 1 with orange solid, white spots and white solid strips to make 5 strip sets and crosscut (20) segments. 3. Referring to the diagram on the next page, repeat step 1 with red solid, blue words and white solid strips to make 5 strip sets and crosscut (20) segments.

Press seam toward the segment. 6. Sew a second segment to the right edge of the pieced unit. Press seam toward the segment. Add a third segment to the bottom edge. Press seam toward the segment. 7. Fold the loose end of the first segment out of the way. Stitch the fourth segment to the left edge of the pieced unit. Press seam toward the segment. 8. Align the loose left end of the first segment across the top end of the fourth segment and complete the partial seam. Press seam toward the first segment to complete (1) 12 1/2" x 12 1/2" Twist block. Twist Block Make 7 9. Repeat steps 5 8 to make 7 blocks with blue dinosaurs centers, 6 blocks with white dinosaurs centers and 7 blocks with packed dinosaurs centers. Note: Do not sew the segments to each center square in the same order. Use 1 of each segment for every block, but place them randomly around the squares for best mix of prints and colors. Refer to the exploded quilt diagram throughout the following steps. 1. Select 4 blocks for row 1. Sew a 2 1/2" x 12 1/2" white strip to the left edge of each of the 4 blocks.

Press seams toward the strips. Stitch a 2 1/2" x 14 1/2" white strip to the top edge of the first and third blocks and to the bottom of the second and fourth blocks. Press seams toward the strips. Join the blocks to make the 14 1/2" x 56 1/2" row 1. Press seams to the left. Repeat to make rows 3 and Repeat step 1 to make row 2, except sew the 2 1/2" x 12 1/2" white strips to the right edge of each of the 4 blocks. Press seams between blocks to the right. Repeat to make row Stitch the rows together to complete the 56 1/2" x 70 1/2" quilt center. Press seams to 1 side. Completing the Quilt 4. Sew the 1 1/2" x WOF white solid strips short ends together to make a long strip. Press seams to 1 side. Cut into (2) 70 1/2" strips and (2) 58 1/2" strips. Stitch the longer strips to the long sides of the quilt center and the shorter strips to the top and bottom. Press seams toward the strips. 5. Repeat step 4 with the 1 1/2" x WOF red solid strips, cutting (2) 72 1/2" strips and (2) 60 1/2" strips. 6. Stitch the 4" x 74 1/2" blue dinosaurs LOF strips to the long sides of the quilt center. Press seams toward the strips. 7. Sew 3 identical 4" x remaining WOF strips short ends together to make a long strip, matching print at the seams as much as possible. Press seams to 1 side. Trim to 67 1/2" for the top border. Repeat with the 3 remaining identical strips to make the bottom border. Stitch the strips to the top and bottom of the quilt center to complete the top. Press seams toward the strips. 8. Remove the selvage edges from the backing pieces. Join the pieces on the long edges with a 1/2" seam allowance. Press seam open. Trim to make a 75" x 89" backing piece. 9. Layer, quilt, and bind using your favorite methods and the red solid binding strips to complete the quilt.
