2 Summer of 2011 Continuing the task to fix, repair, make safe and modernize all our schools 2003 & 2006 Proposition A Facility Bond Program: 35 major modernization projects at 35 school sites $35 million dollars spent during summer alone 16 Green School Yard projects All schools opened on schedule Facility Design and Construction Department: 45 projects at 45 sites & $10 million dollars spent during summer alone 5 individual school site moves All schools opened on schedule District Custodians cleaned over 2,800 classrooms 13 District gardeners mowed, clipped and pruned and area ½ the size of Golden Gate Park 6/30/2014 2
3 Progress on Fixing and Repairing our Schools to Date 2003 Bond Measure What we promised Upgrades and improvements to 30 school sites Entire work to be completed within a budget of $295 million of bond funds All major project work to be completed by June 30, 2010 What we delivered Completed original work processed to all 30 sites All work done for $295 million in bond funds All major work completed ahead of the June 30, 2010 deadline 6/30/2014 3
