2 Keynote Speakers Address the Future Consumer Driven Health Care under Health Care Reform Sunday, Sept. 8, :45 a.m. William Boyles Editor/Publisher, Consumer Driven Market Report Washington, DC William Boyles is a standing member of the U.S. House and Senate Periodical Press Galleries. His publication, Consumer Driven Market Report, is an independent for-profit newsletter financed by subscriptions. Health Market Survey, is a subscription newsletter for health insurance leadership, financial analysts, CFOs, actuaries, and marketing consultants. He is the author of numerous articles and commentaries in trade publications, speaks often to groups large and small in the U.S. and Europe, and is often quoted in national news media. He was intimately involved in the enactment of the statutes and regulations enabling HRAs, HSAs and FSAs. Consumer Driven Market Report was the first publication in the U.S. to write about consumer-driven health care and the CDH movement in the U.S. Mr. Boyles started working in health care in 1971 as a medical claims review analyst for Blue Shield of Michigan, and later worked in the national offices of Blue Shield Association (Chicago). He earned an M.A. in Journalism/Communications from the University of Michigan (1973) with a specialty in health economics, then began covering the U.S. Congress (1976) for a leading newsletter chain. find it! Managing Vice President, Health Policy Resources Center American Dental Association Chicago Dr. Marko Vujicic is responsible for overseeing all of the ADA s policy research activities. Prior to joining the American Dental Association, he was Senior Economist with The World Bank in Washington D.C. where he directed the global health workforce policy program, which focuses on addressing the numerous human resources for health challenges in developing countries. Previously, he was Health Economist with the World Health Organization in Geneva, Switzerland. Dr. Vujicic is the lead author of the book, Working in Health, which examines the effect of fiscal policy on the health workforce. He has written several book chapters and published extensively in peer-reviewed journals such as Health Policy and Planning, Social Science and Medicine, Applied Health Economics and Health Policy, Human Resources for Health, Healthcare Policy, Journal of the American Dental Association. He has worked extensively on broader health policy reform in Africa, East Asia, the Caribbean and Eastern Europe. Dr. Vujicic obtained his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of British Columbia and a Bachelor s degree in Business from McGill University in Montreal.
