2 CZECH TRADE INSPECTION AUTHORITY Jana Sobotková Jana Sobotková studied Law, History of Art and Environmentalism at Masaryk University in Brno and Mykolas Romeris University in Vilnius. She took a traineeship at an Arbitration Court (Brno) and in a Law Centre specialized in human rights and environmental law (Brno). In 2010, Jana started working in a legal department of the Central Inspectorate of the Czech Trade Inspection Authority - an administrative government body that monitors and inspects traders supplying or selling goods or providing services to consumers. Jana is, among other things, responsible for the cross-border cooperation between the Czech Trade Inspection Authority and other EU authorities within the framework of the Regulation No 2006/2004 on consumer protection cooperation.

3 MINISTRY OF ECONOMIC AFFAIRS OF PORTUGAL Ana Caterina Fonseca Director General for Consumers Ana Caterina Fonseca has a Law Degree from the Faculty of Law of the Lusíada University of Lisbon, and Postgraduate in Legistics and Legislation Science from the Institute of Legal and Political Sciences, Faculty of Law, University of Lisbon. She has extensive legal experience in the field of Consumer Law, inter alia, by preparing national legislation, monitoring the transposition of European legislation and participating in the European legislative process, and interacting with sector sector regulators regulations. Ana Caterina works at the Consumer Directorate-General (former Consumer s Institute) since 1997, she took the position as Head of the Consumer Law Department in 2013 and is currently Director-General of the Portuguese Consumer Directorate- General.

4 EUROPEAN CONSUMER CENTRE FRANCE Bianca Schulz Director After her law studies, Bianca obtained a Diploma in company law and a Master 2 in French-German law. In 2002, she started working as a legal adviser at European Consumer Centre Germany. In 2005/2006, she was senior legal adviser for European Consumer Centre France. Since 2007 Bianca is director at European Consumer Centre France. and English. 5 BEUC Augusta Maciuleviciute Senior Legal officer of Aix-Marseille, France. Augusta Maciuleviciute holds the position of Senior Legal officer at BEUC and leads BEUC team on Consumer redress and enforcement. Specifically, she is working on the issues related to enforcement, competition, collective actions and alternative dispute resolution. Augusta holds a degree in Law as well as a Master s degree in European Law (University of Law, Lithuania). She has also been studying European law in University Augusta has been working in Brussels since 2006, first in the Lithuanian Permanent Representation to the EU, as consumer and civil law attaché. Prior to moving to Brussels, she has been working in Lithuanian Consumer Protection Authority, where she was responsible for European issues and participated in developing an ADR system for consumer complaints.

6 DANSK ERHVERV - DANISH CHAMBER OF COMMERCE Lone Rasmussen Head of Retail and Wholesale Division Lone Rasmussen is a Head of Retail and Wholesale Division and head of the Consumer Policy team in the Confederation of Danish Enterprise (CDE). The CDE is the second largest business organization in Denmark and represents companies and 100 branch organizations. Retailers, Advertisement Bureaus, Travel Agencies, Hotels and many other companies with B2C contact are among the member group. Consumer Policy is prioritized policy area and the CDE is the only Danish business organization that gives legal advice to their members on consumer law. Lone Rasmussen has a degree in political science from the University of Copenhagen. She has worked with consumer policy and EU affairs for more than 20 years in both the public and private sector. She has been employed with the CDE since 2005 where she is responsible for Consumer Policy. Lone Rasmussen is a member of the Danish Consumer Complaint Board. She believes, that good consumer conditions are in the interest of both consumers and business, that the rules should be fair and make sense for both parties and that efficient enforcement of the common consumer protection rules is important for a well-functioning internal market.

7 KU LEUVEN Evelyne Terryn Professor of Law Evelyne Terryn is a professor of consumer law and commercial law at the KU Leuven and vice-dean of the faculty of law. She studied law at the KU Leuven, King's College London and Oxford. She obtained her Ph.D. at the KU Leuven in 2005 on The right of withdrawal as an instrument of consumer protection. She is a professor at the KU Leuven since She started her career as a lawyer with Cleary, Gottlieb ( ) and was a member of the Brussels bar from 1998 until She is a co-editor in chief of DCCR (Tijdschrift voor Consumentenrecht) and a member of the editorial board of the Dutch TvC. She is a member of the Acquis group and was a member of the European Consumer Law Group and the Consumer Law Enforcement Forum. She was academic advisor to the CoJEF project (Consumer Justice Enforcement Forum). Her research focuses on (European) consumer law and European contract law, credit contracts and distribution contracts. She is co-editor (with J. Stuyck, H. Micklitz and D. Droshout) of the Ius Commune Casebook on Consumer Law (Hart, Oxford). She was a visiting professor at the University of Amsterdam and the China EU School of Law (Beijing) and is a guest professor at the Brussels School of Competition. Since 2013, she is also of counsel with Eubelius, a leading Belgian law firm.
