And I'm going to do a little bit more official bio so it's on the recording. Carol Look, EFT master, abundance coach. Carol Look s specialty is inspiring clients to attract success and abundance into their lives by using EFT and the Law of Attraction to clear limiting beliefs, release resistance and build prosperity consciousness. Before becoming an EFT master, Carol was trained as a clinical social worker and earned her doctoral degree in clinical hypnotherapy. Oh, Dr. Carol Look, there you go. She worked for eight years as an outpatient substance abuse facility in New York City for addicts, alcoholics and their families before managing her fulltime private practice. Wow! That must have been quite a trip. Goodness. Carol is an expert at combining meridian tapping EFT and the Law of Attraction to help people thrive in their personal and professional lives. Through workshops, seminars, teleseminars, audio and written materials, Carol leads people through the process of eliminating their emotional and energetic blocks so they can finally live joyful and passionate lives. She has also produced several audio CD sets and downloadable products on topics such as Vibrational Abundance, Clearing Clutter, Eliminating the Fear of Public Speaking, Weight Loss as well as DVDs on the topics of attracting success and abundance and a vibrational approach to healing pain and illness. In our call tonight, Carol is going to be talking about vibrational healing in the body and mind combining the principles of the Law of Attraction and meridian tapping EFT to help listeners, to help you all, to release your limiting beliefs about pain and illness and attract more abundance into your life. Wow! I can hardly wait. I have been so excited about this show, Carol. I can't tell you. Me too. And then to hear everybody s energy from all over the world is fun. 2

3 Isn t it fun? And then the energy of the people whose accents came from all over the world. So welcome to Healing with the Masters. It's so great having you. Thank you so much. So Carol, you're an abundance coach, right? And you help people attract more success and abundance into their personal and professional lives. How would you define the term abundance for our listeners. Well as you know and what we all say now is everything is energy. So that means abundance is just a feeling or a vibration. So your voice has a vibration. The color you wear has a vibration. Foods have a vibration. The rug has a vibration. So all we need to do is tune in to the vibration of abundance. And some people would say, well, that s too simple. But when you're tuned into it, you'll get it. If you're not tuned into it, you can't get it. So an example is, I always say to people, you can't get rich when you feel poor. And they say, "Yes, but the truth is I am poor. Well, you've got to find ways to feel wealthy even if your bank account doesn t show it. And the abundance and the truth is that feeling of poor is who you were before. And now you get the opportunity to create something new. And I think this is so important. What you just said is such a huge truth, we could finish the call now. Exactly. Everything is a vibrational equation. So all those other systems, they only work temporarily because if you don't change your vibration, you will not change the outcome or what we call the consciousness or what's showing up the evidence in your life. So you change your prosperity consciousness and it shows up in your life. So how do you change your vibrational consciousness? That's the big question I get But how, but how? Well, there are lots of ways. One of my favorite techniques is doing any kind of the meridian tapping where we're tapping on the energy systems. So thought field therapy was what I was first trained in 97 and EFT. There are just many, many techniques out there that get to the energy or the electricity in your body and you've got to change that. Now, you can also change it by writing a gratitude list everyday. You can also change it by your focus. You can also change it with your posture. You can also change it with your thoughts. But I believe we need to have a physiologically based 3

4 technique in addition to just the thoughts. All the Law of Attraction people come to my workshops and they say, "I've done everything right. I've read every book and I've done every thought process. It's just not enough for humans, I'm sorry. I think we need an extra push in our energy and in our electricity. And once you change the energy then it's a no brainer, then you get what you want. But you can't do it by pushing it or not changing in the deep electrical part of our bodies. I That's very interesting. I think this is a really cool point which is we are in human form and there's a physical aspect to this. And so what you're saying is that we apply techniques in the physical as well as creating the vibrational emotions and feelings through visualization the traditional Law of Attraction stuff. And we do that in partnership and it feels like part of us also has to deal with clearing and cleaning our energy field. Absolutely because we get very cluttered, right. We get vibrational clutter. We pick up thoughts and feelings and the person next to us in the elevator is cranky and impatient and the person in line at the deli is frustrated and talking on the cell phone. And then we have our own thoughts and our own to do list that we haven't gotten to. We pick up a lot of vibrations. We're not very peaceful very often. Multi tasking, we have taken multi tasking to an Olympic sport. And we need to be clear and still and clean the energy. Clear it, clear it, clear it. And you know, if meridian tapping ends up not being some people s cup of tea, fantastic. Go find another energy clearing technique. t's the favorite of mine. It's my favorite. Yes, EFT is incredibly powerful. I use many different systems. I use EFT. I use the Work by Byron Katie. I use the Sedona method. I use ho'oponopono. And all of these are just systems of ways of bringing ourselves into the body. And then using that to up our vibration. Right, exactly. Okay. So I definitely want to get into the body stuff but before that I want to talk a little bit about your business philosophy. You have a simple business philosophy that works 4

5 wonders to attract clients or customers to any business. I'm wondering if you could just kind of share that a little bit with us. Well, trial and error p.s. I've made enough mistakes that now I know what to do. I knew that kind of what life is about, really. So some kind of energy medicine is the first thing because you are your own best marketing tool. So if you are not congruent with what you're selling, what you're offering and I don't care what you do. I don't care if you're a secretary, a janitor. I don't care if you run a bed and breakfast or a bookstore or a coach. If you're not congruent, you're communicating that subconsciously to everybody who crosses your path and who doesn t cross your path. So you have to be congruent. And the best way to be congruent is to clear the blocks, any kind of limiting beliefs, with energy medicine. So that's number one. Then, Law of Attraction, fantastic. The Law of Attraction is working 24/7 so how do you harness it for you in a positive way because it will be harnessed in a negative way if you're focused on what's not there and scarcity and what's going wrong. So Law of Attraction is always working. It's the energy of gratitude and optimism and belief and expectation. Some people, they pooh pooh it. They just say, "Oh, that's not very important. It is critical. It's one of the fulcrum activities to put yourself into, what you talked about earlier. Put yourself into that belief system of flow and gratitude is it. Yes, so that's two. Number three over deliver. When you over deliver to your customers, it is not a problem. Sales are not a problem. So you have to be congruent with what you're selling and again you may sell a service or a product or your time, right. So whatever you're selling, you have to really, honestly and genuinely believe in it. You ve got to back it. And then it's so easy because people come to you and they absolutely know that you're behind it and you believe it. It works for you and you over deliver so you're not cheap about anything. You're not cheap in customer service the book is really a full book, the audio tapes are lower priced for what you're offering. You really give them take away and nuggets and tools that they can absolutely start well. in my business anyway, it's easy to do. I give them tools that they can do five minutes after they put the book down. They can do them while they're reading the book or listening to the tapes. Right, okay. So I'm just thinking a clue that one of these things is not happening is that you're not attracting customers or customers that you want. 5

6 That you want to be at x coaching clients a week and you're past that or threequarters that. Well, that tells you that you're exuding something energetically. There's not enough out there. I'm not good enough yet. They won't choose me. It doesn t matter what the limiting belief is. There are hundreds of them. We could spend hours talking about a variety of limiting beliefs. What are yours and how are they getting in your way? Right, okay. So what are your limiting beliefs and how are they getting in your way? It's really important. People say, "Oh no, but we're not supposed to focus on limiting beliefs. But your limiting belief is running your life so you'd better get a handle on it. Then you use a technique or a tool to erase it or eliminate it and it's done. Oh no, the Law of Attraction says I'm not supposed to focus on it. No, the Law of Attraction says, "Don't wallow. Don't wallow. Law of Attraction says don't get in the mud and stay there and have a little pity party. Law of Attraction says identify it. You're already vibrating there so you might as well put it as a target, release it, move on, and say, "That's interesting, that's in my past now. So you get to use what shows up in your life as a vibratory barometer to say, oh, okay. So if this is showing up, then this is where I'm vibrating. And instead of going you said something about the energy of holding earlier. You just briefly mentioned it. So it's kind of like if you hold on to your dream, to that vibration of yeah, but I've got to; I've got to. Oh God, I've got to do it right, the Law of Attraction. So, instead what you do is you find that moment of not a good frequency a challenge maybe that showed up in your life and use it. And my favorite question is what's the downside of getting what you want? People say don't be silly, there's no downside. Yes there is or else it wouldn't be there. It wouldn't be there. So I ask myself what was that or what's the upside of staying where you are? How does it serve you to say, "Oh, the economy stinks and my practice is half down and nobody s coming. It's just not true. I can introduce you to a zillion practitioners and coaches whose practices are busting out the seams. Okay, so it's not the economy. In our country, they just keep printing the money. There's plenty to go around. There is enough. It's a consciousness or a belief system there's not enough, down times. I don't care if you have sacked to back it up or you show me evidence. You have to buy into it vibrationally in order for it to work in your life. So if you buy into the poverty 6

7 consciousness of there's not enough and there's going to be a pull back in every business, every state and every country, you'll be there. I promise. The universe will say, "Okay. If that's what you want, cool. Now the other thing I say to people is don't let reality wreck your day. So you want to look at the evidence in your life that's important. Ooh, look at that. Okay, great. Now I need to do something with it and I choose to do something with it. But also don't go check your sales every 20 minutes. Don't go check your s every 10 minutes. When I'm on vacation, my sales increase. I had to take a look at that after the third time it happened. Wait a minute here. This cannot be a coincidence. You wanted not say, well, yes but this is true and the doctor said this or the person said this or whoever the economist said this. It's like, yes, okay. And what are you going to do with that information? Are you going to get uptight and fearful which will change your energy? Or are you going to say, that s interesting. Thanks for the information and I choose to tune into abundance anyway. Because the reality is that abundance is all around us always, all the time. The reality is that there is never lack, ever. And so we get to choose to be at one with abundance or not. And so what you're saying too is that use energy medicine. Use these things, EFT and whatever to clear the blocks that are showing up. Absolutely. Or else if you keep doing the same thing, you'll keep getting the same results. And that's what you have to look at in your life and in your patterns and that's why energy medicine is so cool. You can change your pattern in a minute. In a minute. It's amazing the stuff that's shown up in the last five or so years, isn't it? It s showing up and allowing us to change things instantly like we're going to do on this call tonight. Exactly. Build new neuro pathways. Build new patterns with energy, with electricity. It's so exciting. It really is an exciting time. The notion of neuro pathways is real, absolutely real. Oliver Stone wrote a book, The Man who Mistook His Wife for a Hat. Oliver Sax, yes. 7

8 That's it. Thank you so much. Oliver Sax. Thanks for correcting me. I'm glad you know that too. And he has evidence upon evidence of people who physically shouldn't be able to see but can see. And that's new neuro pathways. So this information is absolutely out there. Okay, so let's talk about meridian tapping and EFT. Could you maybe give us a quick description of what this is? Sure. So, in traditional Chinese medicine, they believe that physical and emotional health relies upon a smooth flowing of energy through your meridians or these circuits of energy going from organ to organ and area to area in your body. So you can't be physically or emotionally stable if there are blockages and congestion. If you go to an acupuncturist, they'll say they're clearing out congestion. So what we do is we tap with EFT or TFT or any of the outshoots of those programs. What we do is we tap on the same points as an acupuncturist would put his needles. So we re accessing the same pathways or circuits and we're moving energy but we're using a light percussive motion just tap, tap, tap, tap, tap instead of sticking a needle in. So we clear out all their stagnant energy. Basically, if you've got a symptom of any kind anxiety or a physical symptom if you have a symptom or a block to abundance, if you have a symptom, that to me is evidence that there is some congestion or some blockage, whichever word you prefer, in your electrical energetic system. So this is not your bones, not your lungs, not even your blood circulation. This is behind everything. This is where everything starts. This is the electricity. So what we do is you first need a target, a very clear emotional target. What are you working on? I'm working on my anxiety about the speech next week. Or I'm worried, I'm afraid to be successful. Or I've got a pain in my back. You be very, very specific. What are you working on and that becomes your target. Okay. And then you use the tapping. You address the target and say some kind of affirmation like, "I accept myself anyway or Dr. Carrington s choicest statements which are absolutely wonderful. So you say, "Even though I have this problem [fill in the blank] and it's super, super simple I deeply and completely accept myself or I choose to be [fill in the blank]. And then you tap on the points while you're focused. I say to people it's like bringing up a Word document. You bring it up and then you can edit it. Ah, that's really cool. 8

9 But until you bring it up, you can't do any good editing in that. You can t do a spell check if the document s not up. So we change it when it's up and running which is what I say to people who say, Oh, we're not supposed to bring any of those programs up because it's anxiety and worry and fear. You're already there. You're already talking about And it's running you. You can feel it in your body. I can feel it when you walked past me. So, get it in your consciousness and that's where you then have the ability like how they do all these studies about brain plasticity. That s how you change. You get the document in, up, make the changes and you're done and you save it. Then you save the changes. And so the document is what's up for you. The document is the pain. Anything. Or whatever you want to change. Anything that you want to change. Any emotion, any old program that you're running. Every time I run into men, I feel this. Every time I run into women I feel this. When I'm with the boss, I feel this. Anything, any emotion or physiological issue. I have cravings for chocolate. I have cravings for cocaine. Whatever it is, that's your document, so to speak. Okay. And then, of course, you bring it up and then that's your starting phrase. And then you move to the tapping on the meridians, the tapping points, to then release that basically. And that clears it. That clears it out. Do we still know why it works? It's a combination of factors. I think the brain plasticity is definitely a factor. Of course what we're doing is bringing up an idea or a feeling or an event or something in your life and we're pairing it with a relaxation technique by tapping on the meridians. We don't know what part works that is the I deeply and completely accept myself. That is a beautiful statement. We don't know if that s 50% of it and the tapping s 50 or the tapping is 90 and acceptance is 10. What I know is that completely skeptical clients have had tremendous results. So I know it's not about belief, believe it or not. Really? This system is not about belief. I've had very, very even the most skeptical clients, Okay, what did you do? Okay, what are you doing? Because you're accessing the electricity in your body and smoothing it out. Remember, we all are electric. We can go 9

10 get an EKG or an ECG that s taken at a hospital that shows the electrical output from our bodies, from our heart and from our bodies. So we're all electric and if we loose the electricity, we're not here. We're not in this lifetime. We ve moved on. Yes, exactly. But belief does play a role here. Not that you have to believe that it's going to work but that the belief is usually what's driving the issue. Beliefs are compulsive, right? That s really a good statement beliefs are compulsive. I don't care what you believe in. Your belief will always win out which is why with the abundance work, you must get to the bottom line. What are your beliefs? What are your limiting beliefs about being successful? Having abundance? And abundance may mean to you incredible friendships. It may mean financial abundance. It may be physiological health. It may be spiritual depth. It doesn t matter what your definition of abundance is. But if you have beliefs that say, I can't. I'm not supposed to. They'll be mad at me if I do. I won't be spiritual if I make a lot of money. Whatever it is, if those are your beliefs, they're blocking you and they will block you. And if you don't think beliefs block you, watch your life. My client who said, "Oh, there are no good men in New York City. Do you all think if she moved to California she d find any? No, she was completely blocked by all these beliefs about men because she d been hurt so badly and hadn t cleared it. Oh, I want a relationship. No, I really do. Really? Really, how come the last one was an alcoholic? That's not get you very far. Well, no, I really No. What are your beliefs that are blocking you that then make you put your foot in the door, that make you impede the progress and say, "No, it's not going to be available. How do we access these limiting beliefs? How do we understand what they are? Because some people say, "I don't have any limiting beliefs, and yet they're in poverty or yet they're in pain or yet the things that they really want aren t showing up. How do we find a way to access these limiting beliefs? Well, again, my two favorite questions if you say you want success, let's say professional success, okay, and you're not getting it, then you start digging around. And say what's the downside to getting the success? Oh no, there's no downside. Yes, ask again. What do you think the downside might be? Oh well, I think my colleagues would be really jealous. Oh okay, what else? 10

11 And I want to be light, right. Oh, what's the upside to staying where you are? Well, I don't want to rock the boat. But is that a limiting belief? Yes, because you're saying so all these clients who come to our workshops and into our practice say, "I want to change this. But they're not congruent. We're back to congruent. Got it. They're not congruent because they're afraid. It's always about safety. E And if you don't feel safe losing the way, giving up the addiction, being successful, being in a relationship, meditating if you don't feel safe, you will move heaven and earth to stay where you are. That's really cool. So, even though some of us say, "But I really, really want this. But if they don't feel safe in achieving it And they need to visualize themselves there. How are people reacting? How does it feel in their body? What s it like? And they go, "Whoa, I haven t done that before. I just keep saying I want to lose 40 pounds. I just keep saying I want $2 million. And then they picture themselves there and the anxiety comes up. You can see it in their body. And what do you do? Tap, tap, tap. Okay. So I want this, I want this, I want this. We put ourselves there. We visualize it. We feel the feelings of what it's like to be there. And while we're hanging out with the feelings, the glitches come up. Yes, always. The safety glitches come up. The safety glitches come up. Very single time. And those safety glitches are the obstacles that are keeping us from what it is we're trying to visualize. Yes and you want to be very compassionate with yourself about those Wow! I don't feel safe? I didn't know that. I've been talking about it for five years. How do I not feel 11

12 safe? Well, because you're afraid you'll be visible. And if you write the book and it gets published and your friend s book gets rejected, suddenly you're not safe. You lose the weight. You feel exposed. If you're healthy again then people are going to ask you too much. Again, a zillion reasons that we don't feel safe and once you get that then you can start to soothe yourself. Then you can start to make yourself feel safe in a healthy adult way instead of maybe out lived programs that you used to use as a kid or whatever. Okay, well I think that was actually pretty important out lived programs that you used as a kid. That's often what's going on, isn't it? Yes, a kid. Maybe you learned them at 15, 16. Maybe you learned it at 25 after your first relationship. Maybe you learned it with your first boss. It doesn t matter but you've learned something. When someone says I have a real issue with that person but I've never had it before. I think, oh yeah? You must have had it before boss, parent, coach, sibling, neighbor you must have had some issue with that before for him to be so get under your skin now. So if it's under your skin now then it's something that s yours. I mean, it's something that you need to look at more through. And a tappable issue. And an issue to use Law of Attraction around. And an issue to say, if I hate people like this so much, why do I keep attracting them in my life? Why do I have to learn that lesson again? Well, I'm not sure. But you tap on it, you figure it out. Look at what keeps you hooked. What keeps you hooked into your old patterns? Everybody has patterns. You cannot be human and not have a bunch of old patterns that are running. Yes, absolutely. Well, I believe we're here on the planet to experience those patterns. That's what we're doing. Yes, exactly. Okay. So I want to talk about vibrational healing for pain and illness. So, you have a saying here that you talk about. Well, let's talk about pain control. You're an abundance person. How did you get from abundance to pain? Well, it's interesting. A lot of people would start to come to my abundance workshops when I was doing that really heavily. And they would have other issues weight issues, pain issues, relationship issues and those would go away too. And they said what is 12

13 going on here? I came here for money stuff and my arthritis is gone. Well, it's all the same thing. If you change your energy, you change the result in your life because it's all about consciousness. So people would literally come to the abundance workshop and lose weight. And they d come to my weight loss workshops and get the abundance. And they d say, "Huh, there must be something. Yes, something is going on here. We are absolutely all connected, right. Every part of us is connected and we're connected to everybody else and our energy is either running smoothly or not. So I say to people, when they ask me that question about abundance and pain, have you ever tried to feel abundant when you're in pain? It doesn t really work. It is impossible. So if I can help people, it's incredibly gratifying to help people with pain issues or illness issues. And I'm not a medical doctor so I'm helping people with the emotional conflicts that are draining your immune system or hurting your body and eventually your body pops symptoms. That's what we do. We're human. So we've got this emotional thing and eventually our body pops symptoms. That's really a cool way to describe it. Symptoms are just simply a device that tells us that we're in a low vibration. And in a vibration of constant something rather. So I ride the subways in New York City. I'm exposed to every flu, every cold, every everything. But what one do I get? I only get the ones when I'm really, really exhausted. Our bodies are like a bank account. You're either depleting it or you're filling it up. And if you're depleted and exhausted and irritable and frustrated and impatient and running late, that flu bug that lands on me in the subway, that's what I'm going to get. It has a vibrational resonance. Because I'm down or exhausted or whatever. So the blocks are really the same thing whether you're working with abundance. It's all about that limiting belief of I'm not worthy. I shouldn't have this much. I'm not supposed to. I don't want to shine. I can do a whole workshop, a 3 day workshop on people not wanting to shine. They don't want to stand out. They don't feel worthy. So it really is, in the end, all the same thing. And that's why it's fun to work with the pain control because people say, "Well, wait a minute. How d you get there from abundance? It s really hard to work on abundance issues when your back is killing you. Okay, cool. All right. You also said you don't believe in germs or DNA as a cause of illness or ailment. So, explain why you don't believe in that. 13

14 Well, it's not that germs aren t real or that DNA isn't real but we have to ignite them. We have to give them form and energy. And, again, what I was saying before, I am running into more germs than you can imagine, right, at workshops and with individual clients or on the subways. And I don't get them all, not even close. Not even close. So it's not the germ. It's whether you are a favorable host or not. Are you in resonance? Are you attracting an illness? Are you thinking you should? Are you listening to all the stuff about the flu virus to the point of anxiety. I have no edge about the flu. Okay, I might get it this winter but I don't think so because have no edge about it. I don't care. I'm just not there. I m not interested. There have been years where, oh my gosh, do you think if I shook his hand and didn't wash and I didn't get the vaccine I've had years like that. I don't believe in it anymore. So, yes. Is DNA real? Of course it's real, absolutely. However and this is certainly some of Bruce Lipton s work it s not the DNA, it's the environment. How do you percolate the DNA? So, yes, you may have predispositions to X, Y and Z from your family but you don't get every one. You don't get it at all. You might just get one of them. Okay. And so, if we get them, it doesn t mean that we failed. Oh no. If you're human and are on this call, you have had several ailments, issues, physical. That's how we're human and we express physiologically when we're exhausted, when we've filled up our lives to the very tippy top and we're not taking a break, when we're running around, when we're exhausted from actually emotional conflicts. We haven't dealt with the betrayal that happened. We haven't dealt with the grief. We haven't dealt with what happened six years ago, 10 years ago, 20 years ago. When those build up, how do they not drain your bank account? So you actually say that a diagnosis can be a good thing. So explain to me what you mean by that. Well, if you're listening to the diagnosis, then you'll start listening to your body. So a diagnosis says, "Hey, guess what? You're going in this direction. Do you still want to go there? So it's, again, a little barometer. So again, you didn't fail when you get the flu. Oh gosh, no. You just are showing yourself the vibrational resonance that you're at, giving you the opportunity to make some changes. And my favorite question also, if you're diagnosis is a solution to a problem, are you willing to resolve the problem in another way? 14

15 Interesting. Very, very powerful. And they say, "Oh no, I just go sick. Okay, okay. Anyway, did it solve something for you? Is there any way it got you out of a jam? Is there any way it was the only path you could take to get rest for this week. It is worth looking at, right? Not everybody is going to be able to say that but just take a look at it. Because the diagnosis says, Wake up call. Your body s doing this. Your body was tired. Your body couldn't fend off the germs that are in fact out there. And why not? What's the wake up call to say, hello, you're working too hard? You're burning the candle at both ends. You're doing too much for other people. You're not doing your daily care of tapping, meditating, walking, drinking tea, whatever you do. It s funny, two weeks ago, why you say, Oh, that's interesting, I'm sure the gym is still there. That's interesting, I'm sure I should do my tapping or my meditating. But you know we always drop off, right? Okay. So I have a question here which is Hafeeza. He s wanted to achieve financial success. He s been working online, this is for the past six months. And everything that can go wrong has gone wrong. He really believes he can achieve financial success on the internet but it's not happening. I don't know where my problem is. So ask yourself what is the downside of getting this success that I've been saying I want so badly. Now, when everything goes wrong so perfectly, that everything goes wrong, that's a sign too. What is he bumping up against? What is going on? That's a lot of blocks. It's like when you have one of those days where everything goes right and you just say, halleluiah, like this is cool. But when everything goes wrong, you have a block, even if you can t get very specific about it. Let s say he can t identify that he s afraid someone told me today they were afraid to make more than their father. Okay, let s say you can t identify something quite specific. Well then, what he does with the tapping is, Even though I evidently have blocks because I m sabotaging myself, I deeply and completely 15

16 accept myself. Sabotage is a sign, everybody. Do you sabotage your health? Do you sabotage your money? Do you sabotage your relationship? causes? Ah, really. I just got a nice piece on that one, Carol. Really important. If you want to look at your behavior, oops, I didn t show up on time to the interview yet I want a job. That s fascinating. It is kind of fascinating. If you can back off and not be rude to yourself but really just say, wow, it s all information. So if he s getting information, he doesn t know exactly what it is but clearly he s sabotaging or he s absolutely barking up the wrong tree and not listening to intuitive messages. Instead of saying take a left, not a right. Call this helper for your website, not that one. Something s happening. I don t know him or the story to know it. I injured my knee with horses and I also injured my thumb and then two days later I sprained my ankle. So there s something going on there. Do you think? It s something to ignore, right? Well, the qi is very much more complicated than slow down. Do you think maybe? Sometimes it s super simple, right? When we stretch and we reach and we try to get something really complicated and sometimes it s not. And other times it is kind of complicated and we need to really be careful and look at it lovingly. Yes, I think that s key. The thing I keep hearing right now intuitively from the people in the audience is you didn t do it wrong, you didn t fail because you didn t get it. We re just on this incredible adventure of life and you re just moving through and you re asking for things and stuff is going to come up that just show you new directions. And one thing we know about our bodies and again, if you re human you ve got a body and you re going to express through the body. If you don t listen, it will only get louder. Okay, so let s talk about the real cause of bodily pain and illness. What are the real Vibrational discord, right? So yes, no in your body and instead of congruence. Oh, I don t really want to do this but I have to. That s not much fun in your body. That doesn t feel very good. I don t really want to do this but I have to. Vibrational discord. Oh, that chocolate cake looks so good but I m not allowed to have it and I feel so guilty and I shouldn t have.... Oh, for gosh sake, eat the cake and enjoy every bite. Because vibrationally, you re not twisting literally, you re not twisting yourself. Now it s very hard for people to get used to that certainly with the food stuff because they don t think it s true but try it is what I can say. So vibrational discord is at the bottom of everything. 16

17 It means our vibration is giving lots of yeses, lots of no s, lots of ambivalence and you re kind of run down with your you re not clear. I need to be clear. And to be clear, I ve got to listen inside, get the answers and then sometimes I got the answer I don t really want to say the answer because it means saying no to somebody. But if you re clear, you get more in vibrational alignment and the decisions are quite easy during your day. I mean big decisions and really, really small decisions. Because if you can t make the small decisions with clarity, how are you going to take the big ones? So vibrational discord is one of the reasons we get ill. Long term buildup of emotional conflict that we don t deal with Oh no, I m over that. Oh no, I don t get hurt. Oh no, that s fine. Good riddance. No, you really need to go back and deal with that. People don t deal with grief, betrayal, being fired, hurts, guilts, fears. When I do workshops I might as well bring people up to the front to talk about guilt and I ll say, And how long have you had this guilt? And every single person can name it to the day 26 years, 4 months, 4 weeks that s just incredible. So we hold on to this guilt for instance So what you re saying is to feel it, to feel the guilt? You ve got to get it up and out or else where does it go? That s a word document again, right? It goes into your body. It s like all the work was trauma about freeze response that is so wonderful where when a trauma happens to you, a millisecond before the car comes at you, you see it and you go, Oh oh, I m not going to survive this, you download all the information into your physiology because you can t handle it in your mind and you say, Bye bye, I ll see you in 30 years in therapy. Okay, so it s stuck in the body. You freeze. That s why the other reason, I didn t say it earlier, the other reason we need a body based technique, not just a mind based technique. All of our traumas have some remnants left in our body. Any childhood issues, any betrayals, any car accidents, any abuse issues, any sudden shocks, you go [gasps] and you freeze, download it to protect yourself. It s a protective mechanism. Animals do it too. And then you don t deal or nobody allows you to deal with it. They say, oh well, let s move on. Well, what s in the past is in the past, let s move on. Or the family can t handle it whatever it is. And it s not in the past it s your present forever until you bring it up and out. In your cells. It is living in your cells. And these are the obstacles to abundance, to health, to all of it. Absolutely. So those are some of the things that really are the cause of pain and illnesses. Now some people say yes, but you don t understand; three generations in my 17

18 family have heart disease. Okay, how much time have you spent talking about three generations in your family that have heart disease? Because some people won t get it. When the people are told that there are four generations of breast cancer in their family, that s energetically powerful. And, frankly, I m not a doctor so I can only say my opinion, right. It is very, very powerful compared to the DNA. Be careful. Watch out. Women in our family get.... Men in our family get....that s what is so powerful because that has energy and important people say it to you so it s your mother or your father or someone says, oh, well, you know all the men in this family. They re all going to end with those arthritic knees. Everybody has it. That s what s important. That s the currency. That s the vibrational currency. And so that belief in the DNA, the genetic disposition is you re saying, I mean, again, you re not a medical doctor but in your belief and Bruce Lipton is proving this, isn t he, that the belief is really the holding infrastructure to maintain that as true and create it. Wow, fascinating! Yes, it s really cool stuff. I think that s why I ll always do abundance work you but I think that s why I ve turned towards pain relief recently. It is just utterly fascinating and when people can be comforting to each other and to themselves and compassionate, the information that pops out is just beautiful. And so the key now here is listening, listening to this information. Uh hmm, listen to your body. What is it trying to say to you? I have a bunch of questions that I have people ask themselves: what do you need to hear from your illness that maybe you ve been ignoring? Oh no, there s nothing to hear. It s just this diagnosis. Well, you know what? It s no fun to get a diagnosis because that is a mini trauma and a tappable issue, by the way, for everybody listening. A very tappable issue. When the doctor walks and you re half dressed and they say we have bad news that is a mini trauma and can be tapped on. Any of you listening who are practitioners working with people who ve had a diagnosis, please put that into your work. Tell me what you mean by that s tappable. It means that you can make that a target. The scene that they have in their memory of the doctor walking in, they re scared out of their mind and the doctor says I ve got bad news and their heart sinks, right there is a distinct target for meridian tapping or EFT. Okay, and so the set up phrase for that would be something like 18

19 Even though I can feel it in my stomach, I saw the look in his eyes, even though I felt sick when he said it, even though I blacked out when he said there s bad news, even though I m still afraid and feel it in my chest, whatever I m making it up whatever it is for you, I promise you it was a mini trauma. Okay, so that s the set up phrase. I ve got a couple of people asking: where do we tap? Where do you tap? Okay, very basically, the first place you tap is the karate chop point which is between the bottom of the pinky and the wrist bone, right where a karate master would smack a board in half. So you start there and you say the set up phrase even though I was traumatize by his or her diagnosis, I accept who I am and I choose to relax. Even though I was traumatized by what he or she said now this goes for anything. This is when your teacher yelled at you when you were eight. Even though I remember it as if it was yesterday like you want to access what makes you upset, you tap on it and then you clear it out. So you do that on the karate chop point and then you move to the points. You start on the eyebrow point above the eyebrows and you just tune is. What s the issue? Hmm, that was a trauma. Side of the eye. So the point on the outside of the eye. Ooh boy, I really remember that trauma. The next point is under the eye, on the little bone under the eye. Ooh, I feel sick when I think about you just tell the truth. You just tap and tell the truth. What s really going on? You don t want to get intellectualized because you won t be accessing the body. The next point is under the nose, right on your upper lip. Oh, I feel so sick when I think of that. Next point is the chin. And you just say it again. You say what s going on? Oh, I feel so anxious when I think of the diagnosis. Next point, take your fist and tap where the knot of a man s tie would be. You can hear I m tapping on my chest like that. Same thing. You just say, oh, I feel so anxious when I think of the treatment I have to go through. It s not fair. Whatever the truth is. That s what s really fun about tapping is you can say anything. Anything. So you could say, It s not fair, I don t deserve this. Uh huh. Next point, four inches below your armpits, pretend you have seams up and down your body on the sides, about four inches below your armpit in the side there in your ribs, tap there. Same thing. Just discuss the problem with yourself. Oh, I feel so anxious about this. And then you end on the top of the head. It s a wonderful acupuncture point called ba wei which means the meeting point of a hundred points or something like that. Very comforting on the top of your head. You can feel that tap around there. And you re tapping very rhythmically. I m just going tap, tap, tap, tap not hard. So you start on the karate chop point and you say the issue. Even though I have this issue, I accept myself anyway. Even though I can t seem to get over this problem, I accept 19

20 myself anyway. Then you go eyebrow point, side of the eye, under the eye, under the nose, chin, collarbone, armpit, and top of the head. Okay, got it. And then from the eyebrow point to the side of the ribs there you re t alking to yourself about what you re feeling. Yes, you re just naming the problem. People say, What do I say? I don t understand u have to give me the words. No, you ve got the words. You ve got the words. So Kim was just asking probably around the time that we re telling her, Do we have to see someone or can you do this yourself? You can do this yourself but as in any method, it s hard to be doctor and patient at the same time so if you get stuck and certainly if you ve got traumas, please go to a wellseasoned practitioner. Okay. And then of course you know things like your products and the things that you offer can guide people through these different exercises, can t they, for different topics? And I m sure that you ve done this so many times now that you ve created lines of thinking that match what you ve experienced through your practice? Okay, cool. So other questions, what does your pain need from you? You know sometimes doctors and we put cold on an area when the area needs heat? Oh, interesting. What does the pain need? Does it need rest? Sometimes we rest when we re actually supposed to move that area of our body. That s really interesting. So you can actually ask that part of your body? So I have a couple of techniques that are really, really simple. And one of them, if you re right handed, take your right hand. Let s say you have a really painful knee, even the pain that you have, Jennifer. Put your hand on your knee and say, hey, what do you need from me? What are you trying to our bodies are communicating with us 24 hours a day. We re the ones who aren t listening. So pain is shouting. Could you please be quiet, I ve got to get s. Could you please shut up, someone s calling on the telephone. So your body is shouting so put your hand there which is comforting anyway and you re basically saying, I hear you, I m connecting with you and I m open to hearing what you ve been trying to tell me. 20

21 Oh wow. And that body part just loves being heard. We love being heard. Our body parts need to be heard. So you just put your hand there. And it s a very simple way when people are asking yes, but how do you get to the information? That s one way to get to the information. Ask. Then you find out. Really? And another question is who is being represented by your pain? Oh, that s really cool. I had someone do this, it s on the DVDs and she said it s my daughter in law that s weird or stepdaughter or something. And I said what is she trying to tell you through the back pain? And she just looked at me and she was just aghast. She was like, this is the weirdest thing I ve ever done. Yes, and is it working? She goes yes. She had information to tap on so hers was she put her hand on her lower back. Again, whether you have back problems, knee problems, let s say you have a disease or an illness that s bigger than that, meaning a fibromyalgia or it kind of feels spread out in your body, just put your hand on a place that represents it for you. Maybe you have neuropathy issues in your feet or a migraine systems or headaches. Just put your hand somewhere that for you represents that diagnosis and say, Hi. I m sorry I ve been ignoring you. I m here now. What did you want to tell me? What have I been ignoring? Boy, will you get information. You ll get so much information and then again, you can either just process that consciously, talk about it, write about it, or you now have a target for using the tapping. Even though my back pain represents guilt from that old issue I thought it was gone but there it is I deeply and completely accept myself anyway. Makes sense? That s awesome. Incredibly simple and so powerful. And I think what I like so much about it I mean you re familiar with my body dialogue system so it s very similar. It s aching to speak with you. Literally aching, painfully aching to speak with you. It wants your attention and the information is what you said before which is there s a protective mechanism with trauma that you talked about earlier and it gets stuck in the body. And when we bring our attention both physically and we bring our emotional and our attention to it, it can tell us exactly what s going on and these are often the box, aren t they? So another way to get the information is I call it just finding the vibrational match. So let s say you ve got arthritis in your back or your knees. You say to yourself, well, how does this arthritis make me feel emotionally? I had a client say, well, it makes me feel kind of powerless and weak. Okay. And when else in your life did you feel this powerless and weak? And the person says, Oh, I remember that job or that relationship. Then you see a link and you can connect the dots because our bodies are always expressing what s going on in our life and you can tap on the current symptoms and you tap on the issue with your boss from 1997 that you have that is showing up 21

22 somehow these many years later in your knees and you tap on those emotions. So you re connecting the vibrational match. Y Okay, so the question again is? How does the physical symptom make you feel emotionally? How does this whatever is going on for you, you got your hand there and how is this making me feel emotionally? And it s usually frustrated, powerless, weak. When someone s got an illness or an ailment that really brings them down, they say I feel weak and I feel irritable and I feel frustrated when was the last time you felt this way in another part of your life? Okay, so that s the next question. When was the last time I felt this? And they perk up. They go, Oh! And that points to an issue, a relationship, a problem with your staff or a problem with your spouse, a problem with your kids some other issue that hasn t been cleared energetically from your body. And there it is. That s the obstacle that s keeping you from health or wealth or relationship or anything. Now can we ask a question about that specifically? Like what s keeping me from And I like to do that with your hand on your heart. Now sometimes I do hand on heart and the other hand on the body part that s frustrating you or that s painful or that s showing up a symptom. And you can just say again, what you want to do is you want to go into the heart. So the way Heart Math people do it, you pretend that you re breathing through your hand over your heart so you go into your body through to your heart center and say, Hi, what information can you give me about this? I love that Hi. ou know, Hi, how do you do? Hi, I m here! Yes, I m here. I m listening. We are heart centered human beings and the further away we get from our hearts, the more out of tune, out of touch we will be with our bodies and our minds. So go into your heart and ask any question you want. Am I supposed to take this medication this week? Am I supposed to get the surgery? Get your information, not somebody else s. People are always asking me for advice about all sorts of things. I don t have the advice for you but here s how I can lead you. Put your hand on your heart and maybe we have to do some tapping. Oh, I don t want to get clear. If I get clear I m going to be upset with the answer. Maybe we do tapping. But 22
