1 How we came up with the idea of our board game

2 Step 1 We thought that since one of the goals of the programme was to create a board game, it would be a good idea to make one about the countries taking part in Erasmus + Project

3 Step 2 We brought lots of board games in class, so we could have a look at them, play them and for the first time, to think as the creators of board games.

4 One of them was the greek game (we don't really know its origin) called The suitcase with the landmarks, that was close enough to what we thought the game should be like.

5 Step 3 We wanted to be really creative so our board game had to be double faced. We drew the map of the Europe on a rice paper Then we coloured the 5 countries according to their flags.

6 Step 4 We got seperated into 4 groups Writing the instructions Find the name of the b g Writing the questions and the answers of the question cards. (culture, religion, history, geography, funny facts. Whatever was relevant to the countries)

9 Step 5 We picked the name Knowledge in a backpack We laminated the board and the cards to last longer We brought dice, hourglass and pawns and

10 We played and played and had lots of fun! And that's why we want to share it with all of you!

13 Rules of the board game Number of players: 2-5 (or 5 teams of 4) Materials included: 2 dice Game board Hourglass 5 pawns (we brought toy cars, you can use whatever you like as long as it is of a different colour or/and shape) 5 A4 puzzles (landmarks of the cities and the most difficult would be a landmark of the host country, in our case it is the White Tower.) 5 passports A deck of cards with the questions and answers printed or written on them (questions about the five countries: Italy, Spain, France, Romania and Greece. You can always add more when everybody knows all the answers.) Stickers made of the flags of the countries Goal of the Game -To have on your passport the flags of all countries (in case of a draw, the winner is the one with the most puzzles)

14 Game play instructions Each player will roll the dice to determine the order of the game. The player with the highest number will go first and the player to his/her left will go second. The first player will roll the dice and move the appropriate number of squares, following the direction of the board. If you land on an empty square, you wait until your next turn comes. If you land on a square with a country name, then the player next to you will ask you a question about that country from the appropriate deck of cards. If you answer correctly, then you take the sticker with the flag of the particular country. If you don t know the answer, then you have to wait for your next turn to roll the dice once again. You win or lose, you will wait for your turn to roll again. If you land on a square that the word puzzle is written on it, you may do the puzzle and have an advantage in case more than one players finishes at the same time. In order to get the advantage, you will have to do the puzzle in 1 hourglass time.

15 If you succeed, you get the advantage written on your passport, if not, you wait for your next turn. If you don t want to do the puzzle, you say pass and wait for your next turn. -puzzles 1 hourglass time -questions 1 hourglass time -puzzles of the host country, 2 hourglass time As you have noticed, the board game has no end like our knowledge of the world that surround us. We never stop learning. Another tip. You can all agree on the time limit to finish the game. It can be an hour or more. By the time the limit is reached, you count the flags and advantages on your passports. The winner is the one with the highest score. Each time you land on a square with the puzzle, you can choose the same puzzle, different one, or the host country puzzle (double advantage) Have lots of fun and always remember that whatever we learn through playing is something that we never forget. *. Οur art Teacher, Mrs. Marina, also drew the game board in our school yard. We will enlarge everything and we will have fun outdoors as well.
