1 Common Core Daily Math for 1 st Grade By: In the Math Lab

2 Welcome to the April Edition of Common Core Daily Math. Happy Spring! In this month s 1 st Grade Edition, students will follow the life story of a monarch butterfly, while solving math problems along the way. Your students will have lots of fun practicing their math with butterflies and other spring things! We re in the home stretch now, with the end of the school year in sight. You will find questions from most, if not all, of the 1 st Grade Common Core math standards in this month s pages. Some of the questions are a quick check on skills; others require more critical thinking and problem solving. Also included: A FREEBIE butterfly life-cycle activity. You ll find this at the end of the file, after the Answer Key. I hope if you re enjoying this product that you ll spread the word via Pinterest and PIN it to one of your boards or to a specific math or TPT Pinterest board. If you have questions, you can always reach me at: inthemathlab@gmail.com FOLLOW ME for new product alerts, revision notices, and for FREEBIES! Thank you! u In the Math Lab

3 Instructions! Print the pages in color or b/w they work fine both ways. I usually print the cover and data page in color and the rest in b/w.! Make one copy of s 1-20 per student (or s 1-16, if you prefer). Copy double-sided, with Side 2 upside-down on the back so that students can turn the page and do Side 2 without having to flip their packets around.! Print one cover and one student data page per student.! Staple packet together (cover, optional data page, and 2-sided copies) with 3 staples across top.! OR you can put the whole thing in a 3-ring binder. I ve included a vertical version of the cover sheet to slip behind a plastic binder cover.
