1 Job Description for Alarcon Criado Calle Velarde, 9, Sevilla Alarcon Criado is one of Seville s principal art galleries and Andalusia s most internationally renowned place of artistic exhibition. The gallery is situated in the heart of the city and is frequently visited by a host of national and international tourists. Current exhibitions feature artists from all over the world including Estonia, Columbia, France and, of course, Spain. One position available for a general assistant in the gallery helping with the day-to-day tasks in the office and creating the gallery s online presence. Duration: 12 weeks beginning mid-january 2016 The intern will be responsible for a diverse range of tasks including but not limited to: web and graphics design; assistance in the creation of artists portfolios; assistance in day-to-day administrative tasks; Spanish to English translation; maintenance of the gallery s social media output; help with assembly and positioning of the pieces of art. The intern will also have the chance to participate in the preparation and creation of exhibitions from inception to official opening.
2 Required Intern Profile: This role is suited to those with a background in the world of art and in particular the management of a gallery. Spanish is not essential but desirable as the intern will be expected to welcome visitors to the gallery. Native or semi-native English is also required as the gallery receives international tourists as well as those from Spain. The role will include web design of the gallery s internet page, assistance in the design of artists dossiers and day-today administrative tasks so experience in these areas is preferable.

4 Required Intern Profile: The intern must have a background in and a passion for art Needs to display much independence and initiative. Basic hands-on skills will be required in the studio. Knowledge of design programs (Adobe packs such as Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator) Experience running social media outputs Knowledge of Spanish is preferred but not necessary

Established in 1979, Ceramica San Bernardo has built up a reputation as one of Seville s leading producers of ceramic products and is now based in two separate art and craft hubs; El Postigo and Rompemoldes. The studio mainly focuses on creating ceramic products using a dry rope technique and the majority of the products made are jewellery items. One position available for a general assistant. Duration: 12 weeks starting mid-january The intern will be responsible for helping with the creation and development of the ceramic jewellery products created at the laboratory. They will be involved in all aspects of the assembly of the products, from initial design work to the application of finishing techniques Required Intern Profile: Dexterity in making hand-made products

7 Job Description for Ceraselle Calle San Luis, Sevilla Spain Ceraselle is a design and manufacturing laboratory situated in the heart of Seville and managed by an architect and ceramic artist who have a common creative passion for material experimentation and research. Their research into the development of ceramic materials, chemical behaviours and synthetic elements has led to the production of hand-made jewellery amongst a range of other contemporary fashion accessories. Continuous transformation is the main feature of their creations, in particular the transformation of materials through the alchemy of heat, the transformation of natural elements to artificial and vice versa and the continuous transformation resulting from different perspectives on the finished product. One position available for a general assistant. Duration: 12 weeks starting mid-january The intern will be responsible for helping with the creation and development of the ceramic and metal-based jewellery products created at the laboratory. Following a familiarisation with the materials used by the artists, the intern will learn how to interpret and work to a design brief, decide on decorative techniques and glazes, and there will also be the opportunity for hands-on work creating the jewellery alongside the two experts working in the laboratory.
8 Required Intern Profile: Candidates must have a background in the arts, dexterity in making hand-made products and a curiosity to learn alongside the small team in the laboratory. A qualification in the arts is preferred but not necessary Spanish is preferred but not necessary
