ABOUT / Challenged with a total budget of $150 and a 4 day time

3 Lululab Table w/ Greg Papove 2012 BRIEF / The first project commissioned for the Lululemon lab, a high profile retail / design space in Vancouver: Design and build a dining table for 8 people that doubles as retail display. ABOUT / Challenged with a total budget of $150 and a 4 day time line, Greg and I chose building materials and found objects as our starting point. Features include storage, hotplates and a raised serving platform. The table will be used for a dinner series hosted by the lab in the Spring of 2012.

4 Fjällbjörk Diamant 2011 BRIEF / Internal design competition to design a small wooden object that evokes the quality & craftsmanship of Carl Malmsten Cabinetmakers. Project selected and produced in an edition of /50 ABOUT / Through the simple act of cutting, the wood is transformed into something precious. The offcuts are then used to create a box mimicking the original birch logs. The wood diamond challenges the notion of luxury while playing with the relationship between material and craftsmanship. Construction and fabrication executed by Hannes Lundin, Kim Sõderbergh, Lone Ohlin and Magnus Dahlén under the supervision of Leif Burman.

ABOUT / Surrounding the theme of Less is More this massive cabinet pushes cabinetmaker Hannes Lundin to find new and creative techniques for fabrication.

6 Gesällprojekt w/ Hannes Lundin (in progress) 2012 BRIEF / Design a cabinet for a cabinetmaker s journeyman test. Cabinet requirements include a lock, dovetails, a drawer and a hinge. ABOUT / Surrounding the theme of Less is More this massive cabinet pushes cabinetmaker Hannes Lundin to find new and creative techniques for fabrication. Fabric and pine are used to create a shelter-sized cabinet with a minimal amount of material. Is it furniture or dwelling? The form draws inspiration from Swedish and Canadian landscapes. Collaboration is currently ongoing between Vancouver, Canada and Stockholm, Sweden. Cabinet being built by Hannes Lundin in Stockholm, Sweden. Completion date May 2012.

8 GAME ON! (in progress) 2012 BRIEF / Use sports and games to encourage activity amongst adults. ABOUT / This project attempts to inspire adults to re-engage in active play through the reduction and abstraction of sports. Completion date May 2012

9 Not An Ikea Flat Pack 2011 BRIEF / Design something to sit on staying within the constraints of one solid piece of birch. ABOUT / Flat pack rocking chair built in Sweden designed to fit in my carry-on luggage.
