1 EIC to Take 42 UK Companies to Offshore Europe 2013 as Largest Single Exhibitor London, 27 August 2013: The Energy Industries Council (EIC), the leading trade association for UK companies that supply goods and services to the energy industries worldwide, will be the centre of attention at Offshore Europe on 3-6 September 2013 as the largest single exhibitor at the show. The EIC Pavilion, which will be located in a prominent position in Hall 3, will host 42 companies at what has become the largest international oil and gas event outside of North America. The EIC s involvement in Offshore Europe 2013 comes at a time of growing optimism in the offshore European oil & gas sector with the development of advanced production technology, combined with a sustained high oil price, fuelling a resurgence of activity in the North Sea and beyond. According to EICDataStream, the EIC s global project database which tracks nearly 10,000 of the most significant projects across the oil & gas, power and renewable sectors, there are currently 146 projects proposed or under development in the UK, worth a total potential investment value of US$88.4 billion, while Norway has 111 active or future offshore oil and gas projects worth an estimated US$145.7 billion. Central to the North Sea oil and gas industry is a globally recognised strong and adaptable supply chain, capable of exporting engineering solutions and technical expertise to energy projects worldwide. Well-versed in upstream operations in the challenging waters of the North Sea, exhibitors on the EIC Pavilion at Offshore Europe include: Alderley, a company that has secured over 50 million orders in this financial year to deliver a range of projects that include brownfield refurbishments of metering and control systems in the North Sea, produced water treatment and bespoke hydraulic solutions. As an independent system integrator, Alderley has supplied more than 250 systems in the North Sea alone and at Offshore Europe will be demonstrating how the company provides clients with technology that best fits the application, is best in class and best for its clients business. Bifold Group, an official Partner of the Marussia F1 Team, has developed sophisticated configurators to make valve selection easier. Bifold will be showcasing its online drag and drop Modular Manifold Configurator at the show, where customers will be able to design their manifold system from the circuit sequence down to the orientation of individual modules by manipulating schematic symbols. Once designed, a 3D rendered model will be constructed in real time.

2 Camcon Oil, who has just installed two of its APOLLO Digital Intelligent Artificial Lift (DIAL) units on a high productivity onshore well for leading regional operator, Petroleum Development Oman. The deployment of APOLLO is part of a normal workover programme where Camcon s intelligent gas lift method will be used to improve the production performance of the well. Offshore installations are expected in the near future and Camcon will be using Offshore Europe to present its case to the industry. Ellis, a world leader in the design and manufacture of cable cleats, will be showcasing three of its most popular products and introducing two new ranges at Offshore Europe this year. Its Emperor, Vulcan and Phoenix cleats are to be followed by the Colossus and Triton ranges. Colossus is a heavy duty trefoil cleat designed specifically for offshore use, while Triton is a cable guide that has been developed to enable large diameter cables to be quickly and easily moved around bends and tight angled turns. HVAC & Refrigeration Engineering Ltd, who will be launching a newly developed range of ATEX certified dehumidifiers, designed to operate in extreme and harsh petrochemical environments. The product range has been developed in conjunction with world-leading dehumidification manufacturer, Munters and its desiccant rotor cassette technology, with a demonstration model available on the stand. Kaydon Filtration, who will be highlighting its Turbo-TOC Oil Conditioning Systems and KA-XP explosion-proof rated turbine oil conditioning systems at the show. Kaydon Filtration s patented coalescing technology elements surpass all requirements for water separation in turbine oil and diesel fuel. Cable management specialists, Legrand who, thanks to investment in 3D modelling systems, will be highlighting the ease and speed of installation of its range of cable management systems that include the Swifts cable ladder and cable tray, Cablofil steel wire cable tray and Salamandre distribution trunking. The Met Office, the global meteorological centre, will be showcasing its worldwide forecasting capabilities for the offshore energy industry. Accurate weather and seastate assessments allow efficient, safe and timely operational planning and logistics. The Met Office s forecast solutions include Safesee TM, an online weather portal designed to help companies minimise costs and ensure maximum return on investment. OMB Offshore, who manufacture vales for offshore installations. OMB will be launching its new range of low torque gate valves at the show which can be used in both subsea and topside environments and range from 2" to 36" NB. A key feature of the new range is the low operating torque. Oilandgasjobsearch.com, the industry s fastest growing job site, has reached over 600,000 registered candidates in June 2013 and will be showcasing its services at

3 Offshore Europe. The team are working very hard in their marketing efforts to continue these rates of growth and attract even more quality professionals from around the world to the site. Rota Engineering, who will be introducing its first certified Ex de IIC T6 Gb II 2G connector at the show. The connector may be disconnected with both sides energised without the need for a hot work permit. The patent applied for the DR4 connector also allows safe connection of Ex de circuits with stored energy and communication circuits, such as Ethernet and Profibus, with return protocol signals previously not possible in this compact size. SPP Pumps, a world leader in pumping solutions for both onshore and offshore applications that has been in business for more than 130 years and can prevent lost oil or gas production that can potentially cost operators millions of pounds. And Vantrunk, a manufacturer of extreme cable management products and associated support systems, who will be celebrating its 50th anniversary through an Xtreme Challenge, designed to test delegates cable management knowledge. The winning prize involves travelling to Swedish Lapland, visiting the Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights) by snowmobile and spending a night in the world famous Ice Hotel.
