The company is one of Europe s leading contract manufacturers in the heavy-weight metal-working industry, with our specialization being in machining large components to accurate dimensions. 3 INTERNATIONAL COMPANY Since its founding, the Konepaja Häkkinen Group has been an international business, whose expertise is valued both on the domestic and international market. The company is known as an uncompromising manufacturer of large and challenging components. Our most important export countries are Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Germany, France and Italy. We also export to the Baltic states and Russia. In the Far East, our largest export market is China. The Konepaja Häkkinen Group also wants to form partnerships with customers on the international market, since client companies outsource their operations there. Approximately 50 % of our manufactured products are direct exports, while the rest of our manufactured products almost invariably end up on the global market. The international market is our primary market

5 Expert in heavy-weight rotationally symmetrical and prismatic parts KONEPAJA HÄKKINEN OY, RAISIO The Konepaja Häkkinen Group administration is centralized in Raisio. Our different production units have their own strengths in specialized skills, machinery and hall sizes, as well as lifting capacity. With combined resources, we can offer our customers just the right manufacturing concept. The Raisio factory acts as a comprehensive coordinator between our production facilities and to enable the synergy of the different units to be conveyed to the customer. By combining the know-how of our factories and our machining capacity, we can provide our customers with custom-made assemblies and complex systems. The Raisio facility specializes in the management of manufacturing especially large rotationally symmetrical and prismatic parts. The parts which the production facility manufactures are large in size and have particularly challenging quality requirements. Furthermore, the raw materials for the parts are often demanding, special steels, such as castings and forgings. In recent years, significant investments have been made to increase the factory s capacity for turning, milling and boring large, rotationally symmetrical pieces and deep-hole drilling Horizontal boring machine, Skoda W225 NC. 6 KONEPAJA HÄKKINEN OY, TURKU Konepaja Häkkinen Oy is a contract manufacturer specialized in machining heavyweight and mid-weight components. The company s Turku unit began in 2004 when Wärtsilä s Turku factory was moved to Trieste, Italy and Konepaja Häkkinen Oy continued manufacturing engine components, such as engine blocks, in the same premises. The manufacture of components has expanded to include other major diesel and gas engine manufacturers, who make engines for the marine and power plant industry. The product selection has also diversified from engine blocks to other large components. Approximately half of Turku factory production is exported and half is sold on the Finnish market. The expertise of the factory lies in the machining, for example, milling and boring, of large prismatic components. We have invested heavily in our machinery and our production activities in Turku are especially well-suited to machining of these types of components. 1. 7 Machining precise components is our specialty TIKKAKOSKEN KONEPAJA OY, TIKKAKOSKI Tikkakosken Konepaja Oy specializes in boring, milling and turning tightly tolerated parts and turning of rotationally symmetrical parts. Our machinery is new and modern our largest vertical lathe enables the manufacture of parts up to 4.2 meters in diameter and our horizontal boring machines represent the cutting edge in the field. We manufacture products from small to large, complex components which have a very small dimensional tolerance. We offer NC programming for demanding shapes. We also manufacture many single pieces and prototypes for our customers. In comprehensive deliveries, we balance our technical skill and flexibility. The flexibility in our production, for example when manufacturing prototypes, is a great advantage, because the pieces are able to be tested and sent for final production quickly. 8 RAUTPOHJAN KONEPAJA OY, JYVÄSKYLÄ The expertise of Rautpohjan Konepaja is in challenging mid-weight sheet metal and welding work. We have the best professionals in the field working for our company: welding engineers, technicians and other specialists in the welding business. Our staff has decades of expertise working in metal forming and welding, such as cutting, plate and sectional bending and manual and submerged arc welding. Our expertise in submerged arc welding (SAW), in particular, is of the highest quality on the market. The welding quality of our SAW positions and the speed of the work are advantages which are not necessarily achieved by other means. Our machine park consists of 6 SAW stations, four 35-ton component processing tables and 80-ton rotating rollers. The materials we treat are structural steel, wear plates, heat-resisting steel, stainless steel and acid proof steel. In addition to expertise in welding, we have long-standing traditions and expertise as a manufacturer of pulp and paper machinery parts and as a manufacturer of products in propulsion systems and mounting blocks, gas turbines, wind power station generators and offshore structures.
