2 INVICTA PENSTOCK RANGE Invicta is a well established, service driven company offering complete valve, penstock and actuator solutions. Invicta Valves was formed in 1982 and has grown over the last 30 years from independent valve and actuator stockist / distributor to a nationally recognised complete valve and actuator solution provider, with an outstanding reputation for valve solutions, particularly the outside the box bespoke packages for the most challenging applications. The AVK Sealschur Penstock range are designed to compliment our existing Water and Waste Water offering. High Quality Manufacture Manufactured in Europe, the AVK Sealschur penstock range is designed using Finite Stress Structual Analysis (FSA) to ensure optimum rigidity and allowing for modelling that allows any undesirable deformation to be designed out pre-production. Computer controlled laser cutting and the latest robotic welding machines ensure minimal waste material and correct welding processes - minimising deformation across the penstock. Stainless steel grade 304 or 316 on Duplex gives maximum corrosion resistance with low mass for ease of installation. Quality & Testing To ensure that the sealing of the penstock is within our manufacturing tolerance and within the British Standard BS7775 requirements, the penstocks can be hydraulically batch tested for leak tightness and rigidity. Finite Element Analysis (FEA) Products are subject to FEA as part of their design. The pictures show typical information display during testing in a range of pressure conditions. 3 3-sided Penstock The versatile 3-sided sealing Sealschur Penstock is suitable for channel mounting applications. A choice of mounting designs are available ie concreting into pre cast rebates for new structures or sidewall fixed for existing channels, wall mounting at the end of channels Variety of actuation options are available ie manual, electric, extension spindles, pedestals 3-sided open top frame design suitable for channel mounting. Square or rectangular opening Size range: 150mm to 2000mm, larger sizes available. Fabricated stainless steel frame and slide, resilient rubber sealing with either non-rising, rising spindle also available. Flush invert available Bi-directional to the height of the slide, uni-directional sealing also available Designed in general accordance with DIN Leakage Allowance lower than allowable in DIN (class 5) 4-sided Penstock The versatile 4-sided sealing Sealschur Penstock is suitable for wall fixing applications. 4 Weir Penstock The Sealschur Weir Penstock is a versatile 3 or 4-sided sealing suitable for wall fixing applications 3 or 4-sided frame design Suitable for wall mounting with a square or rectangular opening Size range : 150mm to 2000mm, larger sizes available Fabricated stainless steel frame and slide, resilient rubber sealing with Non-rising or rising spindle available Bi directional sealing Designed according to DIN Leakage allowance lower than allowable in DIN (class 5) Variety of actuation options are available i.e. manual, electric, extension spindles, pedestals Stop log The aluminium and stainless steel stop logs are designed for open channel installation. Aluminium stop logs are designed for temporary isolation and flow control. Stop logs are ideal for maintenance and repair work on flood control and reservoirs. The stop logs are made from extruded aluminium and are easy to handle due to their: Light weight construction Bidirectional sealing Sizes to suit application Lifting devices available i.e. Lifting poles or lifting beams Stainless steel stop logs are designed for waste water treatment plants, irrigation, hydraulic works and hydro electric power plants They are made from grade 304, 316 or duplex steel. The frames can be: Channel or wall mounted Bidirectional sealing Sizes 150x150 and upto 2mx2m, larger sizes available. 5 Flap valve The flap valves are designed for discharge lines such as river levies, sewer lines and drainage conduit and are available in either round, square or rectangular openings. The flap stays closed preventing water back-flow, and it opens automatically when the unseating water head is higher than the seating water head. Sizes available: 150mm mm and above For maximum corrosion resistance the flap gates are manufactured from stainless steel or duplex. Where required chemical or exporting anchor bolts can be supplied. 6 Site installation service Invicta Valves can offer a one stop site installation service to install the Invicta range of penstocks, stop logs or flap valves. Our skilled site engineers are experienced, qualified and hold the relevant site safety passports and are confined space trained. We provide all necessary lifting equipment for the installation. We can also offer electrical / small civil installations when required. Invicta Valves are specialists in carrying out site surveys to establish the condition of penstocks, stop logs and flap valves.
