4 Summer Program curriculum 1. Mechanical Engineering: Learning Laws to Design Roller Coaster A Mechanical Engineering adventure with the laws of motion. This program will take participants into the land of moving things. They experience the epic battle between inertia and motion. Participants step into the world of transportation and amusement park! Caution: rides design in progress using friction, spinning and magnets. The thrilling program is sure to get everyone moving. 2. Energy Engineering: All about energy For ages people have believed that energy equals progress. As a worldwide search for cheaper and cleaner energy continues, we are on a mission a mission to energize young scientists and engineers to think about energy! Join an amazing adventure where participants explore various forms of energy, from potential to kinetic and electrical to renewable sources like wind and solar. Participants will design and build paddle boats, water wheels, wind mills etc. 3. Game Making Lab I: KODU We experience computers and its digital creations every day. It is not enough to just know how to use a computer anymore. Creating, developing computational thinking and ability to personalize & customize applications to solve your problems are needed skills too. Participants work with leading edge tools and learn to program and express their creativity as video games. Participants will work collaboratively like video game design, develop and test. 4. Game Making Lab II: Minecraft Calling all Minecraft Gamers! Don't just play vanilla Minecraft! Create your own Mods and make it your own unique game. This is a workshop that takes child's interest in video gaming to creating something using computer programming. 5. Robotics: Engineering, Entertaining, and Animal Robots Participants learn the basics of computer programming and apply it to design robotic machine and animals to complete various challenges. They will design, build and program Lego robots. The program bundles designing, building, problem-solving, computer programming, critical thinking, collaboration and communication into one exciting program. Participants will take their interest in robots, couple it with engineering design to build and program robots to find engineering solutions to some real life challenges. Engineering challenges include: Trash Clean Up, Finding Miners, Fire rescue mission, Robotic Basketball.

Biomedical Engineering Biomedical engineering, a new emerging field of engineering, deals with the application of engineering principles and design concepts to medicine and biology for healthcare purposes. Closing the gap between engineering and life sciences, this is an exciting intersection of two classic industries: health and mechanical engineering. Participants will explore the skeletal and muscular system of the human body. While learning about bone function, joints, fractures, and muscles; participants will design their own cast and lower leg weight bearing prosthetic utilizing the Engineering Design Process. 7. Entrepreneurship: Build to Market The great inventions and technologies that shape our worlds today are a result of successful market launches. STEM and innovations need business ethos and acumen to become a desirable product or service. It is never too early to educate young children in the process of designing, launching and running a new business. In this special series of programs, our goal is to inspire the next generation of STEMpreneurs! The total package includes: STEM + Innovation + Entrepreneurship In Build to Market Challenges, participants will work like innovators in designing a robot to solve an engineering or entertainment problem, build its prototype and then, like an entrepreneur, they will explore ways to market their product. 8. Aerospace Engineering The feats of mankind in the world of aerospace are nothing but awe inspiring - the Beluga transporter, the supersonic jets, Armstrong's moon landing and the well-choreographed descent of Curiosity on Mars to name a few. Let's understand what it takes to get off the ground and fly. Participants face off with powerful air; experience its drag and pressure; learn about laws of motion and how they impact flying things. Participants create parachutes, design astronaut TM space suits, enjoy hands-on rocketry and make keepsake model planes. 9. Civil Engineering How do civil engineers think and plan for such structures? The tallest building in the world stands 2700 feet tall - that's over half a mile! In this program, participants learn the science of building structures and take baby steps towards working like a civil engineer to design structures using simple materials. May the forces be with them on this awesome mission of close encounters with the all fall down gravity, thrilling balancing acts, bridging designs and the quest to make the tallest skyscraper! Will their designs survive the mighty weight, wind and earthquake? 10. Fine Arts: Drawing, Painting and Origami Unleash the artist within you! In this program, participants will learn Line Drawings, Primary and Secondary Colors, Origami, Free Expression, Tempera Painting and Creating Art with Shapes. Participants will use Watercolor, Acrylic color, Canvas Painting, Oil pastel, Crayon or Chalk.

6 Katy Gifted Summer Camp, Best in Class Education Center brings you our Gifted Summer Camp. This is a great opportunity for children entering kindergarten through 8 th grade to stay sharp, learn, and have fun during the summer time. Our program integrates MATH, ENGLISH, GIFTED TEST PREP, PUBLIC SPEAKING CLASSES, SPEECH and DEBATE COMPETITION, STEM for Kids by Ayur Inspiration. We give students a chance to learn and have fun at the same time. Students cooperate and learn collectively during our group activities which include math exercises, math word problems, gifted test preparation, logic exercises, reading comprehension, grammar, vocabulary, creative writing, reading, games, and much more. Students practice the lessons with the supervision and guidance of our helpful instructors. Children have never had so much before! In addition to our educational material, we are proud to offer fun and exciting activities for our students as part of our Gifted Summer Camp. They offer students a chance to explore a variety of interests and help keep summer exciting. In the afternoons our students will enjoy the following activities: Arts and Crafts, Movie making, Entrepreneurship, Biomedical engineering, Computer science, Robotics, Game making and lot more with STEM for kids.
